Quick View

Bell Fitness Soft Touch Ankle and Wrist Weights are soft, adjustable weights for both ankles and wrists that feel good on and adjust to almost any size wrist or ankle.

Full View

I like to amp up my workouts by wearing ankle weights when I do cardio and wrist weights when I do upper body or dance videos that use the arms a lot.

I had ones that rolled on like bracelets but my wrists are so small that they would fly off and hit things like my TV, my dog, my kids...

I have had many kinds of ankle and wrist weights but I tend to lose one of anything that comes in pairs. So, once again I was on the trail to buying some more.

The Weights

I saw the Bell Fitness Soft Touch Ankle and Wrist Weights on Amazon and they looked just fine. Simple, adjustable, soft, and not too expensive.

I am weighing them as I type this preparing for a workout when I am done. These are good little weights!

The weights are just 1.5 pounds each. I didn't want anything too heavy so this was a good weight for me. They are dark blue with a Velcro closure. They expand for larger ankles and wrists and even fit my little wrists with only a tiny bit of wiggle room.

The Velcro is amazingly tough and I can't imagine that these will loosen much over time. They are soft on the in and outside and there are no sharp edges to dig into my skin.

My Use

I strap these weights on when I do cardio workouts and any walking or kick boxing ones. I use them on my wists when I do belly dancing and other workouts where the arms move but don't get much of a workout. You'd be surprised at how heavy just a pound a half feels when you are working your arms wildly for 30-60 minutes!

At times, I also use these on my wrists for kick boxing so my punches work my arms.

These don't slip or loosen up on me and don't fly off like my previous pair. They are very supple and soft.

The one thing that some people may not like is that they are quite wide - maybe four inches (eyeballing it). That doesn't bother me in the least but the little bracelet type ones were much thinner but much bulkier. I will take wider thin weights over thinner but bulky ones anytime.

I like my sandbags and use them almost every time I work out. I want to get as much benefit from my workouts that I can and a little added weight is a big help. I also wear these on my ankles when walking or just around the house. You can burn calories wearing just a pound and a half extra around your ankles and going about your day. Hey, why not?

My Viewpoint

Bell Fitness Soft Touch Ankle and Wrist Weights are a good choice for soft, easy to use wrist and ankle weights. The versatility to use them as either ankle or wrist weights is a plus.

They cost me about $11.00 a pair and will last until one walks away. Somewhere, there is one of everything I ever bought in pairs just hiding and laughing at me. That would include socks, earrings, exercise equipment, even cosmetics! Thankfully my two sons have avoided the dreaded "hidden room of one of the pairs".

I give these weights 4 stars. They're fine. Not amazing or special but well made and do the job well.
