Bought this 16 bit PCMCIA card several years ago to hook up an HP laptop to a wireless network.  Played around with it for at least a year and I was never able to get this card to hook up and maintain a fast internet rate even though the laptop was moved to within 2 feet of the router, the signal strength always varied and thus the internet connection was always slow.  Finally out of frustration I purchased a TRENDnet usb wireless lan adapter, and solved my problems completely.  The Belkin wireless card has never performed half as good as the TRENDnet adapter.

The model should be corrected to Version 2, not S.
