Beech Nut is great for beginning babies and on through till table food. Over 5 years ago, I started my oldest daughter on Beechnut and we both loved it - she for the taste and I for the price! It is comparable to Gerber and Heinz but much cheaper. And the variety of flavors is great. Each flavor is made with natural ingredients and vitamins added. The stores in my area quit carrying Beechnut and I had to switch to Heinz or Gerber, depending on sales, prices and coupons I had. Beachnut has generally been my first choice ever since I compared its price with Gerber.  It is only a couple of cents different, but that adds up.  There are many healthy choices and combinations.  The baby food does taste good and is high quality in general.  I was a little disappointed with the grainy texture of the 3rd foods that contained vegetable pieces, whereas Gerber has more smooth textures in this stage and with this variety of food.  One of my daughters would gag at Beechnut 3rd foods, but accept gladly the Gerber brand.  The other Beechnut stages of… read full review »

This is my favorite baby food for my 8 month old, I love the new good morning and good night meals.  They help him sleep longer because they are heavier than other brands.  My son loves the tastes of all of the foods that I've tried him on. My son, who has no problem with textures, chunks, chewing, etc. will GAG every time he's offered any sort of Beechnut food. I decided to try out every Beechnut dinner we got, and have had the same result. After learning he wouldn't eat it, i offered this to my hoover of a dog. HE WOULDN'T EAT IT EITHER! Something is wrong with this food. I figured it was just my personal experience and have complained to the company only to learn that i'm not the only person experiencing these troubles!
