Many of my friends and family have always used and trusted Gerber. I don't disagree with that at all but why pay more for the same thing? Less food actually. Gerber offers 2nd stage premade baby foods in 3oz containers where Beech-Nut offers 2nd stage premade baby foods in 4oz jars. Beech-Nut still serves their foods in glass jars which are better recycled than the plastic containers that gerber sells theirs in nowadays. Beech-Nut has also been cheaper than any other baby food in every store I have seen it in. If you are looking for 'organic' foods, than you may be willing to spend more on Earth's Best or another organic brand; however, if you are just looking for value, Beech-Nut is the way to go. I have always given my son Beech-Nut since he started eating baby foods. He actually prefers the Beech-Nut to my homemade baby food purees (except for my pears and bananas, he has always loved those).
