Comments about BeeCeuticals Organics Bee-Yond Body Balm:
I haven't had much luck with the BeeCeuticals Organics brand of products in the past, and this body balm is no exception. Not only do I not like the scent, the actual product is not great either.
I have to admit, **BeeCeuticals Organics Bee-Yond Body Balm **has a lot of excellent qualities. It's made with certified organic ingredients, is paraben-free and is not tested on animals. Plus, BeeCeuticals donates a portion of their profits to the "Save the Bees!" organization. I was looking forward to loving this product, but I just didn't.
The first thing I didn't like about this product is the scent. It contains lavender oil, and lavender gives me a headache. Floral scents give me a headache in general, but lavender is the worst. The only other thing I didn't like about this product was the texture. Not a big deal to some, but the texture is really off-putting.
Since this product comes in a jar, you have to scoop out the product to apply it. Well, the product is rock hard, so you have to dig your fingers in the jar and I hate that. Not only that, but once you get some out to apply, it rubs in horribly. The consistency is gritty, pasty, crumbly and crusty all at the same time. Since the product is hard, it is extra difficult to rub in the gritty stuff.
I do have to say though, this body balm is *really *moisturizing. I put this on my pregnant belly and it felt moisturized all day long. It's made with excellent ingredients like: shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, coconut oil and almond oil, in addition to others, but unfortunately doesn't cut it with me in regards to scent and texture. If you don't mind lavender and can stand the hard-to-apply texture and jar, I would totally recommend it.
