Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson play in Bedknobs and Broomsticks, in this 30th anniversary edition, remastered and fully restored on DVD.  Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects.

Plot:  In England during WWII, three orphans and an apprentice witch (Lansbury) search for an incantation that can stop the British invaders.  They go to many places on a magic bed and eventually end up on the Isle of Naboombu, where everything turns animated (except the people) and there are talking animals.

What I thought:  Bedknobs and Broomsticks as an old childhood favorite and still is fun to watch years later.  I think young kids will enjoy this movie as much as I did and still do.  It's got a mix of everything, there animation with talking animals, there's a magical flying bed, there's dancing and singing with fun songs.  My favorite part is when they go to the Isle of Naboombu and participate in a soccer match.  The visuals are great and fun to look out.  The storyline is really fun, fascinating and will keep you watching.  Awesome directing.  The film is two hours long and may be a little bit long for younger children to sit through.
