We bought this bed in November 2008, due in part to some great reviews we read online. It was impressive how the bed came out of the box and miraculously puffed up to size. The chemical odor was a bit intense, although it did subside within a week or so (although didn't totally go away). We were very optimistic due to the great reviews, but we were unimpressed. The bed had an indentation from the fold line where it was packed in the box that never did fully inflate. That, however, wasn't much of a problem since it wasn't in a location that necessarily bothered us. The bed was quite a bit more firm than we expected. After a couple of months, the bed did break down enough to be considered not as firm, but it still wasn't what we would call comfortable. And since it did break down a little bit, we started to get the valley indentations from our bodies, which makes it feel like we are sleeping in a hole. This indentation problem of course caused a "speed bump" down the middle of the bed that wasn't compressed due to our body weights. Perhaps this is a normal issue for memory foam mattresses, but it wasn't to our liking. Also, the PacDown cover wasn't as form-fitting as it could be and the cover kept riding up on the sides, which made our sheets also ride up and sometimes come undone. I tried to tuck the PacDown cover under the bed as much as I could and then tightly tuck in the sheets, but there was extra loose fabric from the PacDown cover that ultimately slid and bulged out from under the sheet. The price of this bed was almost too good to be true. We should have realized that things that seem too good to be true generally are. We don't know if the people giving the great reviews on these beds seriously like the beds or are just like them due to the price. I guess you get what you pay for.
