Owners of memory foam mattresses are more likely to report satisfaction with their bedding than owners of innerspring mattresses, but a significant number (about 20 percent) of owners say they dislike memory foam because it is too firm, too hot, or too hard to move on. Memory foam mattresses are more durable than innerspring mattresses, but they're also very heavy and may produce an unpleasant odor when new. Prices range from about $800 to more than $2,000 for a queen-size bed.
