Aero Bed - twin

Aero Bed - twin
a creature of comfort

JUL

2008
My mother bought this for my husband and myself while we were out there visiting.  I was not crazy about it and after a week vacation there, the bed was losing air everynight.  I felt like I was waking up on the floor.  We even had to wake up in the night and pump it back up.  Maybe it would be okay for a kid, but not us.  My husband and I are small, so it doesn't have anything to do with that. He weighs 160 and I'm 130.  It's also noisy when you move on… read full review »

Essential Jersey Sheet sets

Essential Jersey Sheet sets
a creature of comfort

JUL
23
2008
For a luxurious night of sleep, try Essential Jersey Sheets. Jersey sheets are made of the same material of the softest t-shirts. The material will not slide off the bed or you. It comfortably clings to you, giving a feel of soft, wrapped comfort. These sheets are not to warm for summer but give enough warmth for those cooler nights without a blanket. Comes in a range of solid colors to match your decor. The price is reasonable and about 1/3 less than at Bed Bath & Beyond. —… read full review »

MY REVIEW IS ON AREO BEDS,TO ME THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO THE CRADLE IN BODY SUPPORTIVE COMFORT OF AN AERO BED.THE COMFORT IS UNDESCRIBABLE, THE FIRST TIME I SLEPT ON AN AERO BED I WAS HOOKED. I FOUND IT HARD TO ADJUST BACK TO SLEEPING ON A REGULAR MATTRESS,BECAUSE THE REGULAR MATRESS BEGAN TO FEEL LIKE I WAS SLEEPING ON A HARD CARDBOARD BOX.I,D LIKE TO SAY TO ANYONE THAT HASN,T TRIED AN AERO MATTRESS, THEY WILL BE GLAD THEY DID. THE WAY IT CRADLES AND SUPPORTS THE BODY AND THE WAY IT JUST SEEMS TO PERFECTLY ALIEGN THE… read full review »

Overstock Memory Foam 4 inch Mattress Topper

Overstock Memory Foam 4 inch Mattress Topper
a green thumb

JUL
22
2008
I purchased a 4"h. mattress topper, from Overstock, and it seemed like a good idea.  I weigh 200lbs, and my butt area seems to sink the most.  Almost like the memory foam needs to be more reseliant.  I got the cool memeory foam since I'm in Souther CA.  So that might be one issue, since its suppose to allow air to move around better.  Legs and arms I'm satisfied.  I'm keeping it though, since its would cost so much to ship back.  Its around 50-60 lbs. for a CA King. — — I've been using it for two weeks, so this weekend I plan to remove the… read full review »

I was shopping for potting soil and I came upon some Kmart brand pillows marked on sale for —  $2.50.  I purchased one. It has proven to be the most fluffy,  comfortable pillow that I have bought in awhile. I can't believe even after a washing, it is still soft and fluffy. —… read full review »

Target Flannel Sheet Set

Target Flannel Sheet Set

JUL

The Flannel sheet set from Target makes for a very soft night's rest but the product never comes clean.  I would wash them almost every week and they just never felt clean.  They are made of jerzee material so it does make for a very soft sleep.  If you are the type of person who doesn't mind a little dirt or uncleanliness in your bed then these are perfect for… read full review »

IKEA duvet cover

IKEA duvet cover
a creature of comfort

JUL

2008
— — I love IKEA because of its fun designs, innovative design ideas, and its affordable prices.  The downside to all of that, however, is that by picking a cheap price you sacrifice quality.  This IKEA duvet cover that I got is cute but is really not all that comfortable to the touch.  I got it for an extremely low price so I'm not surprised that the quality isn't quite there but it's still a cute duvet cover.  I still love IKEA and I will keep shopping there, I'm just letting everyone know that its not the smoothest of covers...… read full review »

Sealy Best Fit 330TC Sheet Set

Sealy Best Fit 330TC Sheet Set
a comparison shopper, domestic diva, budget conscious

JUL

2008
Had I paid the $120 retail price for this sheet set, I would have been annoyed that the softness factor isn't any better than it is.  But, since I bought them for half price at JC Penney's White Sale, I feel I got a decent set of 330-thread count sheets after all. Sealy Best Fit 330 TC Sheet Set comes in nine fashionable colors (Cappuccino, Chamomile, Navy, Pearl Blue, Pink Blush, Purple Heather, Sage, Slate, and White) in Twin, Full, Queen, King and Cal. King sizes.  The best feature of this sheet set is that it is designed to fit larger mattresses better than standard sheets. … read full review »

Serta 2-inch Memory Foam Topper with Contour Pillows

Serta 2-inch Memory Foam Topper with Contour Pillows
a comparison shopper, very happy with this product, budget conscious

JUN

We recently bought a new Sealy Vasser Ultra Plush mattress (reviewed here) that turned out to be more firm, than plush.   I got the idea that maybe a couple of inches of foam might give me the extra bit of cushioning that my body longed for.  A trip to the Overstock.com bedding department led me straight to the item that has saved my aching back (and my wallet) - the Sealy 2-inch Memory Foam Topper and Contour Pillows. Sealy Two Inch Memory Foam Topper — By now, most people know the many attributes of memory foam bedding.   Memory foam was originally designed… read full review »

Studio by JCPenney - 350TC Wrinkle-Free Sheet Set

Studio by JCPenney - 350TC Wrinkle-Free Sheet Set
a creature of comfort, into finding great deals online, a comparison shopper

JUN

2008
I remember as a little girl watching my great-grandmother methodically iron her sheets, framed by big clouds of steam.  I was personally unfamiliar with the laborious laundry ritual; with seven children, my mother was a strict believer in permanent press. Studio by JCPenney Home Collection — Nowadays, 100% cotton sheets with a higher thread count still need to be ironed to get rid of stubborn wrinkles.  I hate ironing, so I'm always on the lookout for wrinkle-free sheet sets.  The Studio Sheet Set is available in seven colors (Stillwater Blue, Mocha, Cool White,… read full review »

The Sealy pillows are so comfortable and cozy.  Like alot of pillows it has a 2 inch gusset, but doesnt go flat after a  weeks. I love it for that as well. I got my pillows at Jc Penney on sale.  They are a little pricey other wise, but well worth… read full review »

Therapedic 300 Cotton Mattress Pad

Therapedic 300 Cotton Mattress Pad
a creature of comfort, a comparison shopper, Practical, very happy with this product, domestic diva

MAY

While shopping for a new mattress pad, I found myself faced with a conundrum.  Do you really derive any benefit from a 600-count mattress pad if you only own 300-count sheets?   After giving both the 300-count and 600-count pads a feel, I decided it wouldn't make that much difference either way.  So, I ended up with the Therapedic 300 Cotton Mattress Pad made exclusively for Bed, Bath & Beyond department stores. The Therapedic Mattress Pad features a stain protector called Invisi-Shield complete with a Nanotex fabric protector that is like Teflon for your bedding. … read full review »

Mainstays home 200 Thread Count Sheets

Mainstays home 200 Thread Count Sheets

MAY

2008
I used to be a Walmart/Kmart bedding shopper, as my mother was, until I stayed overnight at a Hampton Inn.  It was like sleeping on clouds.  I now do all of my shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond because they have great 20% off coupons and will take anything back if you don't like it, even if you've tried it out.  200 thread count sheets are scratchy, stiff, and not durable.  You may have to pay a little more for higher thread count sheets, but the quality is worth it. —… read full review »

My hubby and I spent a weekend at a Hyatt resort and these were the pillows on our bed.  I just loved them soooooooo much I had to have one.  You can buy them from the Hyatt website but to buy them from the manufacturer is much cheaper.  I just love the feel of this pillow.  I get such a great nights sleep on this one.  I would highly recommend this pillow to anyone who loves the comfort of a feather pillow.  They are a little pricey but definitely worth the extra cost. … read full review »
