Since my wedding night in 1985, I have stayed at dozens of different bed and breakfasts.
Importantly, I don't regret staying at any of them. While some of them may have suited me more than others, they all were superior in both decor, comfort, amenities, little extras, food, and customer service. Some have been high-priced but worth it. Many have been extremely reasonably priced because of the included breakfast, early check-ins or late check-outs, and variety of things to do included.
Confortable beds, luxurious linens, gorgeous gardens, snacks and beverages, gourmet breakfasts, hot tubs, fireplaces, and wonderful hosts are just some of the wonderful things I have experienced. Romance is much better in these surroundings than a regular hotel or motel. I think bed and breakfasts offer a superior stay and value for your money. You feel relaxed and pampered, enjoy pleasant conversations, and much more.
The last one I stayed at was for my 50th birthday last month. It was the Doll House b&b in Cripple Creek,Colorado. It is a Victorian style home built about 10 years ago. Our room had a great tv and fireplace. The views were terrific of the mountains. We enjoyed playing pingpong and soaking outdoors in the hottub on a snowy night. There was also a wonderful chess set and billiards table. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them and most other b& bs if you are travelling or just want to have a pleasant weekend away from home.
