I registered for this French Rolling Pin at Bed Bath and Beyond because someone told me it was easier to use than the other style of Rolling Pin. We broke it out for the first time when baking cookies for my rehearsal dinner. The pin turned out great and it is now one of my favorite baking tools.
The Pin
The pin is just one long stick shape (20.5") and 1-2" in diameter. It starts thick in the middle and tapers off towards the ends. There is no mechanism involved so there is nothing to break, and nowhere for the dough to get stuck. It's made of hard rock sugar maple but it doesn't taste...
