Because of Winn-Dixie Review

     "Because of Winn-Dixie" is a heart warming story of a girl and her dog.  The young actress; AnnaSophia Robb and smiling dog both give winning performances.

The story draws you in and yes, you will laugh, cry and cheer them on.  The two stars are both loners that find strengh and love in each other's company.

Cicely Tyson is aptly cast as a friend that the girl finds along the way.  Along with an unexpected turn from musician; Dave Mathews, veteran actress Eve Marie Saint as another supporter and Jeff Daniels as the father, fit well.

Overall, this picture is about acceptance of both humans and canines.  It does get a bit sad, but our leads win out in the end, with the message that we must all love, no matter what the consequences may be.

This movie can be enjoyed by the entire family; young and old alike.  All ages are accounted for with universal themes of love.

Go see this movie with a loved one, you will be so glad that you did!
