Because of Winn-Dixie Review

I have read the book Winn Dixie to my 2nd graders for many years now. The year Winn Dixie came out we had to go see it in the movies. There are several parts that are different then the book but it still has the same meaning and keeps the same mood as the book. This seems like an original film. It is about a girl whos mother left her and her dad who is a preacher. They have just moved into this new town in a trailer court. So she goes to the grocery store named Winn Dixie and this dog is running up and down the isle and the manager is ready to call the pound till she says it is her dog. So she takes it home and the manager of the trailer park and her dad doesn't think it is a good idea at first but they warm up to the idea. She ends up getting a summer job in a pet shop and meet a man named Otis, she goes to the library and has many discussions with Franny Block the librarian, and she gets to meet who the Dewberry boys call the witch Gloria Dump who becomes one of her best friends. Oh and we can't forget Amanda. Anyway it is just about her and Winn Dixie doing all kinds of intersting things in the town and how she helps bring people together. It is a little interesting how they got that dog to smile though!
