Because of Winn-Dixie Review

Because of Winn Dixie is a movie about a ten year old girls named Opal, whos father is a preacher and whos mother left her when she was very little. Opal and her father move to a small town and while there she go to winn dixie one day and a stray dog comes in. The dog starts making a scene with the employees and when the manager wants the dog gotten rid of, the little girl tells him he can not get rid of the dog because it is hers. She feels as though she has no one there for her and no friends, so with Winn Dixie by her side she meets quite a few people from the little town she is now stuck in and finds out that she does have friends and they all care about her. One of the first people she comes across is Otis, an ex convict who works at the pet store where she goes to find Winn Dixie a collar. Otis was arrested for disturbing the peace by playing his guitar in town and when the cop tried to take his guitar he broke the cops nose.  Opal meets a lady whos name is Glorida Dump that all the kids in town think is a witch. She decides to read to gloria because her eyes are bad. Mrs Franny, the town librarian whom Opal also befriends suggests the book gone with the wind about the civil war. Opal and Gloria dump decided to have a party after reading the book and with this party came a horrible storm. Something interesting happens during the storm but you'll have to watch the movie to find out what.After finding winn dixie and making new friends, Opal also rekindles the relationship she had with her father and learn ten things about her mother that she didnt know.
