When picking out a moniter while pregnant, I read a ton of reviews on this one. I wasnt sure if I really needed something like this, if it was just something to make scared moms spend more. I decided to just get it. Thank God I did! My daughter was born very sick, and spent 4 weeks in the NICU. She was on a moniter that would go off if she stopped breathing up until the day we took her home. The relief I felt when I put her in her bassinet with this moniter was great! I know its not the one at the hospital, but it was still great to have just to have that peace of mind! It was a little annoying to have to remember to turn it off every time I took her out (which was often as a newborn!) but still so worth it! The only complaint I have is that after 2 years and just trying to use it as a normal moniter (wthout the pad) it's not working anymore. I just get static sound no matter what I do.
