Summary
I have owned several baby monitors and the Angel Care is by far my favorite. The Angel Care is durable (my kids have dropped it many times), it gets great reception (even in an old house), and it provides the flexibility of movement and sound, just sound or just movement.

The Angel Care Movement Sensor
The Movement Sensor is a unique feature not found on many monitors. Essentially, they give you pad that you put under the mattress. If the sensor does not pick up the childs heart beat, it will go off. There are two times that the monitor went off for me. (over a 2 year period with 2 kids). It was when my son was sleeping nearly in a ball so the monitor could not detect his heart. Other than that, it was really perfect.

The Sound Sensor
The Angel Care monitor (independent of the movement sensor) is also very high quality. The reception is very clear and there is no static on the line. In addition, you have 2 channels to select from just in case.
