Not something a new mom has to have

Safety conscious, Light sleeper, married, a protective mom, cost-conscious
Pros

    movement & sound, good reception

Cons
    Expensive, interference, alarm goes off when baby is ok, movement sensor can be triggered by fan, Your crib must have a hard flat surface

like this item however it makes noise even when the baby is fine with only small movements.  caused more concern than with out it.
