As a first time mother hearing about SIDS was very frightning. I felt so helpless, I spent a lot of nights awake just checking to see if my baby was breathing and things only got worse. SIDS became a reality because someone close to me lost there son at only 3 months to SIDS. I went to work distraught the next day.
