Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a Tanning Lotion that won't turn me or my clothing orange.  I tried Neutrogena's line the results on my skin were natural but no matter how long I waited my clothing still had stains especially when it was humid out.  I read some of the Veiwpoints reviews and it seems that Dove and Jergens received most of the attention.  Which would you recommend of the two to try.  Thanks mrschristianworld

Did you check out our guide to self tanners yet? Click here to get the low down on the best self tanning lotions. I personally use Jergen's to maintain a little color.

so does my daughter -- I guess it's time to review it since she uses it almost year round. You never know when you may need nicely tanned legs to show.

I love the Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow ultimate Body Moisturizing lotion with Spf 15. It gives a nice subtle glow and has a little sparkle to it and it doesnt give you that awful self tanner smell! I have found self tanners work better if you have a little bit of a base tan for the self tanner to enhance. When you start off w no tan it tends to get streaky and obvious. I love this stuff Im on my 2nd bottle this month!!

Thank you for your help and imput I love the idea of the little sparkes to it.  I agree with you about starting with the base tan.

My sister swears by Maui Babe, I personlly have never tried it because I look like i have a tan all year long but i have looked into it, they have many different kinds of products, you can go to MauiBabe.com or I believe it is cheaper to go through amazon.  Hope you find something you enjoy.

Lancome makes amazing self tanners. NEVER orange. Pricey though. I use the Jergens Foam now and then for a jolt of subtle color but I kind of gave up on looking tan. I love to be tan but the only tan that really looks good on me is suntan. Which we all know is NOT good for us. (Drats!)

I use a tinted bronzer for my face to give me a little color that doesn't break me out. That's one thing that concerns me when I use tanners on my face and I usually DO break out so I avoid most on my face now. Clarins makes a pricey facial self tanner that's good, though. Too dark for my yellow/white/gray skin but very nice for normal mortals. lol.

hi there- I know what you mean about trying to find a self tanner that does not turn you, or your clothing orange. I struggled with this problem for years in addition to trying to find something that didn't reek of perfume, or that horrible chemical smell. Yuck! I've spent a fortune on everything from drugstore brands to the most expensive department store brands and they all resulted in stained clothing and an un-natural looking tan no matter what i did.  And did I mention the smell?!

I have finally found a product that I actually love. Fragrance free (truely), no stained clothing and a natural looking, buildable tan that dries quickly. It's called Famous Dave's Moisture Tan. I found it on eBay of all places.

According to the directions you can dress after three minutes, but because I live in Atlanta where it gets rather hot and humid, I often set my hair dryer on COOL and go over everything for about 30 seconds just to be sure. I've never had a problem.

I've not found another product that even comes close to this one!

I recommend it! Good luck!

I totally recommend tan towels. They really work, are not messy, and never make your skin orange. I buy them on HSN. I do recommend you wash your hands after you use them so your hands don't look tan. Good Luck. Sherry
