I am a 51 year old woman who refuses to do what almost everybody else does with their makeup and hair.  As I said earlier, I have very long hair that I have never permed or dyed.  I am leaving the white streaks it has.  Everybody gets grey and I like it.  The neatest thing I have is what I call a skunk streak.  This is a white ares about 1 1/2 inches wide and is on the right side anf I love how it looks.

 

Sometimes I get strange looks because I am different and I don't car.  I like to think that some other people wish they had the nerve to do what I do.

 

I am also a tree hugger and we had to murder a beautiful 95 year old soul of a maple tree because carpenter ants were feasting on it.  I sat in the house and cried until I could not stand the trees screams any longer and went to my Mom's.  It was horrible.

I can relate to you. I am 54. I have enjoyed experiencing different things in life and do color my hair and wear make-up but my girlfriends don't. They are into the natural look and have gray wild hair. We love being different in our looks but the same in our hearts. One friend lives in a house out of Mother Earth, She is a herbalist and makes her own soap, has solar panels she moves around.She has a teepee. I helped her last summer have woman retreats. She has a sweat room and is very spiritual. I did the advertisng and business end for her, for free of course. That's is what friends do for each other. You would love her.If you ever come to New Mexico I would introduce you to her. You could have a sweat.

I don't know how we can become friends on this site, but I would like to.
