I visited Belks this weekend and saw that Estee Lauder has free gift totes and make up with a purchase. It started yesterday - March 30, 2009.

This is brick and mortar only as far as I can tell. They do have other specials online.

Depending on the dept store, the purchase price seems to be between $28 - $32. Many single items fall in that range.

The gift includes two small clutch or tote make up bags. The colors are rather dreadful I think - dark blue with lime green. But, they are nice little bags.

The make up can be selected with either warm or cool tones which is nice, since sometimes the gift colors don't work so well. Most people could wear one of the two color combos.

Make up gifts include a full sized lipstick, small mascara, eye colors (2) in a little slide box with a mirror, small thing of moisturizer, and tube of make up remover.

With a bigger purchase ($55 here at Belks), there's a large tote - the size of a pocketbook. You get all of the above plus the bigger bag that is mostly blue as far as the color.

Not sure how long the promotion lasts.

The products are nice, so if anyone needs make up or wants to try out some new ones, it's a nice free gift.

Thanks, Cyndi. I'll check online to see if I can find a store around here carrying this special.

(-: Hi there Lady Magic. I thought other folks might want to know about the deal. I think it's at Macy's and know it's at Belks. I know Clinique does this from time to time, but I don't recall Estee Lauder doing a gift pack. But, I was pretty set on Clinique. Both are owned by the same company - just a FYI for anyone out there wondering.

Thanks for the tip. When Kevin is better if the special is still on I'll take a look. I'm leaning more toward trying some of the natural lines though. Thanks again.

Estee Lauder has the minerals now. Those are new from what the lady said. That was my purchase - foundation. The gift is not in that line. The moisturizer is the All Day line. The others seem to be the standards and no specific lines that I noticed anyway.

Has anyone tried the Estee Lauder DayWear  Plus Tinted moisturzer? If so, what do you think about it? Or if you have any other suggestions for a good tinted moisturizer please let me know.   Thanks!

Hi! I used to manage the cosmetic counters at dillards and have tried just about everything. Yes, the tinted moisturizers do work very well and are lightweight. Also, if you are interested, the self tanners are wonderful (best from estee or lancombe) but the trick is to mix them with your own lotion. That way is doesnt streak or give orange tint. Plus, estee's gift w/purchase is on now at belks.

Dillards on and offline is having a Lancome deal that's really good. Buy $29.50 in Lancome products and get a bag and several cosmetics and skin care products free, a $110.00 value. The bag includes:
Hypnose Custom Volume Mascara in Black
Renergie Microlift Night R.A.R.E. Superior Firming Night Cream
Renergie Microlift R.A.R.E. Superior Lifting Cream SPF 15 Sunscreen
Plus, choose your color palette!

The warm palette features Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow in Filigree, Kitten Heel, Mochaccino and Lezard plus Color Design Sensational Effects Lipcolors in Trendy Mauve and En Vogue.

The cool palette features Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow in Daylight, Exhibition, The New Blue and Backstage Pass plus Color Design Sensational Effects Lipcolors in All Done Up and It Girl.

But wait! If you spend $55.00 on Lancome products, you get all of the above free PLUS your choice of a free full sized Lancome cleanser worth $24.00.

And on top of that, shipping is free online if you spend over $60.00 in Lancome products. It looks like it's time for me to buy my long time favorite eye cream: Progress.

The offer is over April 26. All info is here: http://tinyurl.com/c6p5x9

I shortened the url to Dillards because it was huge.

EDIT: I am making a topic for this because ..... I can! lol.
