My favorite shampoo!

Beauty Without Cruelty Rosemary Mint Tea Tree Shampoo doesn't lather well because it doesn't have any artificial lathering ingredients in it; lots of foam and bubbles are not necassary to have a clean head, it is just something we have all come to expect after years of using mainstream products, we think lather and bubbles = clean. We have been using this shampoo exclusively for almost a year now and love it. It was one of the best rated tea tree shampoos I could find in terms of chemicals and harmful ingredients; everything in this shampoo is natural and some ingredients are organic. If I recall the only potential irritants are the fragrances/essential oils that may irritate some but not all people. I love the smell of this shampoo and have found that it leaves me with nice clean hair without leaving any residue like others do. Also love the conditioner. 4 stars because it is a bit expensive.

smells great but doesn't lather up well

I wanted to try the Beauty Without Cruelty Rosemary Mint Tea Tree shampoo because I was looking for a more natural shampoo that doesn't contain any harsh ingredients and toxic chemicals. I decided to try their shampoo after reading the label and saw that it contained only natural and organic ingredients. At first I was skeptical that a shampoo that contained only natural ingredients would work, but I gave it a try hoping it would meet my expectations. Well, the Beauty Without Cruelty Rosemary Mint Tea tree shampoo smells great and it looks like the same consistency as other shampoos but it didn't do as well as job as it advertises. The Beauty Without Cruelty Rosemary Mint Tea Tree shampoo didn't lather up as well as other shampoos and the shampoo easily slipped through my fingers when I poured it onto my hands. I ended up using more shampoo than necessary and felt that most of it washed out too quickly. The scent is refreshing and not pungeant, but that's as far as it goes in making a quality shampoo. I wouldn't recommend this because it's a bit expensive and you'd have to end up using more than you need to.

A better smelling BWC shampoo

4

I have tried this version of the BWC shampoo line along with the blue clean and purple volumizing kind. Out of all the versions, i think this probably smells the best. Granted, don't expect this rosemary mint shampoo to smell like pantene or be perfumy. It does remind me of the apothecary, but I don't thnk think it smells bad in any way. This version (along with the volumizing shampoo) is probably the least harsh of the three shampoos. I think the blue clean version can be a bit harsh and tends to strip more of your hair's natural oil (ie. drier hair). The rosemary mint conditoner is pretty good too (and smells similar to the shampoo...so you'll match in scent). BWC is a good brand and it's relatively cheap. This shampoo doesn't have SLS (which can be hard to find at times). It also doesn't paraben. If you want a decently priced shampoo without controversial ingredients, this might be the shampoo for you. At least I think it's worth the try. Granted the smell may not be for everyone.

Fabulous Shampoo!

I absolutely love this shampoo for multiple reasons. First, it smells divine. (It should, it's Aromatherapy hair care!) It's organic, it's natural, it's gentle...all great points. And for the price, I think it's a great deal. You get 16 ounces of goodness...no animal products, no parabens, no sodium lauryl sulfates, and it is 100% vegetarian and made with 100% pure organic essential oils! But best of all, and most important, my hair loves it. It's soft, feels very clean but never stripped, and the shampoo rinses out quickly. It doesn't seem to leave any residue on my hair, which is very important to me because I have long, curly hair that can easily get weighed down. Overall, I love that this is a product that I can feel good about using, both because of the company ethos and the fact that I don't have to worry about unhealthy ingredients. I used to use salon brands, but have developed a sensitivity to chemical fragrances, and thankfully, I have no problems with the natural scents used in this shampoo.
