BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme Review

Quick View: Who needs eyeshadow primer? No one really. I mean, you can live your whole life without it and survive quite nicely. However, once you DO use it, it's hard to live without. I tried BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme in Nude and love it. It makes my eye shadows last for much longer than usual with no creasing.

My Take on BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme

This one half ounce tube of cream comes in Nude (which I have), Taupe, and Pink. It's only $8.00 and will last for ages since you need just a drop per eyelid.

I squeeze out a tiny amount and apply to my eyelids. It is creamy and somewhat sheer. It drys down to a matte, almost powdery finish. I then apply eyeshadow, be it cream or powder, and the shadow looks smooth, even, and perfectly pigmented. I like that the cream doesn't crease and it stops my shadows from creasing as well.

BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme helps my eyeshadow to stay on my lids uniformly for many hours. I have no idea how this cream does what it does but it really makes a big difference, I like to wear subtle shadow in the day and a little bit deeper shadow at night. I hate when it creases or fades away. With BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme, no matter what formula or brand of eyeshadow I apply, it doesn't fade or crease. It looks just applied all day or night.

This cream isn't a makeup must have but it certainly makes eyeshadow application easier and worth the time to apply. It's an inexpensive little tube that lasts for ages. I have never had any irritation or issues with the cream and I plan to repurchase it when I run out. Some of my eye shadows come with a primer but most don't. That is when I whip out BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme and dot a drop on each eyelid. It's like base coat is to nail polish and face primer is to foundation.

My Viewpoint

BeautiControl Shadow Control Creme is an inexpensive eyeshadow primer that preps lids for eyeshadow application. If you have wrinkled or creased lids, this cream will smooth them out. It is barely there yet works very effectively. I like it a lot. I give it 4 stars and that is only because I have to order it rather than pick it up at a store.
