I was at a website for free samples recently and noticed that Bear Naked was offering free samples of a few products. I really like banana nut bread so decided to go with the Bear Naked 100% Pure and Natural Cereal - Banana Nut. There is also a Cranberry Raisin cereal too.

In 2002 Kelly Flatley began making the first Bear Naked products. Not long after, her high school friend, Brendan Synnott, joined in the business too. Bear Naked produces high quality natural food. What started as a business in Kelly's parents' home in Connecticut is now a booming company providing Bear Naked products to people across the country.

The day after I received my free sample, I ate it for breakfast. The banana nut cereal is made with whole grain flakes, banana chips, rolled oats, oat clusters, dried apples and walnuts. The website says the ingredients are, " all-natural, bearly processed and utterly naked ingredients...that you can pronounce!" And it's true, I can pronounce everything  and I know exactly what everything is that's in this cereal. Bet you can't do that with yours!

I compared my other cereal, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, to Bear Naked 100% Pure and Natural Banana Nut cereal. The Cheerios had ingredients like Trisodium Phosphate and Sodium Citrate, that's not the case with Bear Naked cereal. As a side note, I researched what trisodium phosphate and sodium citrate are. I was a little uneasy to find that trisodium phosphate is mostly used in a wide variety of consumer grade soaps and detergents. WHAT? I'm eating that and feeding it to my kids? I'll think twice next time I read ingredients and I'm unsure what they are.

Ok back to the cereal. The cereal tasted great! It had a nice crunch to it and all the flavors were perfect. Once I got toward the bottom of the bottle the cereal wasn't too soggy. It sort of reminded me of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal. I have a picture with all of the ingredients and nutrition facts.

I haven't noticed this cereal in the store but they sell it online at bearnaked.com. For a 12.5 oz bag it's $4.49. That's not too bad but it is a little pricey. In my free sample I received a $1 off coupon for any Bear Naked product. I'll be looking for the banana nut cereal next time I'm out shopping.

I would definitely recommend Bear Naked 100% Pure and Natural Banana Nut Cereal. It tastes great, it's all-natural and it's good for you.

NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they received a sample of Bear Naked 100% Pure and Natural Cereal - Banana Nut

Not into banana-nut cereals myself but do think your review is nicely-done.

I remember almost buying this stuff because it looked and sounded so good, but if I remember correctly, it was REALLY high in fat. It sounds so good though! Have a bowl for me :)
