I bought this in response to my husband asking for it for years and upon great reviews from the staff at my church. I purchased the product via infomercial and I did get suckered in to buying the pull up bar, bands and some supplements - so my bill killed me when I got it - but I am enjoying ALL of it!! I have wanted to go to a local "Boot Camp" - but they start at 5:30am (ouch!) AND they are at least 30 minutes from my house, so I just flat out could not do that, especially with 3 kids to get off to school - so that was my justification to purchasing this P90x stuff. Pure and simple it is...
review »P90X consists of 12 different exercise dvd's that average an hour long each, targeting different muscles in your body that you do 7 days a week. Depending on your goals (bulking up, toning, losing weight) you follow the tapes in a different order. The key reason why this routine works, is because of their muscle confusion technique. Each day is a different routine, and you follow this for 90 days. They encourage you to take day 1, day 30 and day 90 pictures and compare the difference. I've been following the program for a week, and have already noticed a difference!!
P90X gets it right - right from the start. This is advertised as the workout for people serious about working hard to get the results they want. This is no 'get-fit-quick' scheme playing to those who think fitness comes in a pill or by strapping electrodes to their guts.
Tony says, "Bring it," and he means it. And when you do, you'll get results that will make mirrors [and practically all reflective surfaces] your new best friend. This is not easy, but when you do it - you really feel like you've accomplished something amazing. Sure, you'll have to modify in the beginning - there's no way anyone...
review »I have watched the infomercials and saw these people work out. I eventually got it. I did it now I am already in decent condition. I did the first work out chest and back WOW. I nearly passed out on the first tape. I sure enough lost everything I ate that day. It felt great. The work outs leave you with sore muscles in the morning. I love that I think you havent worked out until you pushed your body to feel sore. I worked on everything plyometrics, abs, legs and back, shoulders and arms, and yoga. Plyometrics was hard but yoga was the hardest thing for me. After the 90 days wow I am astonished...
review »Alright I know you have seen the infomercials a dozen times and debating or whether or not to go ahead and order. I am telling you now to go ahead and do it. You can't go wrong with this unless you skip days and are just too lazy.
This is a program that guides you through losing every ounce of fat. My story is similar to one of those men on the commercial. I was in the Army and now I am in the Army Reserves. Honestly, you must possess that self discipline to achieve your weight loss goals. Anyone can say something negative about the product but I guarantee those same people are the ones who...
review »Tony Horton put together this P90X program for people who want to see results after doing some hard work. I have done a lot of programs to keep fit. I am 45 years old, 5'6" and 128 pounds, not overweight or out of shape, but I did want to get more fit. Well after just 6 weeks, my legs look like they did when I was 30, I can only imagine what they will be looking like after I complete the program. I also intend to buy INSANITY which is just yet another program to add and incorporate with your P90x. You do have to BRING IT, which means, don't buy this DVD if you are not going to GIVE...
review »p90x...I am getting ready to turn 51 years old in August of 09. Last year I had a minor heart attack and got so depressed that I put on more weight and lost my breath doing routine task. I started the program six weeks ago and weighed in at 202 pounds. I am currently at 184 pounds, waist has gone from a 42 to a 38, resting pulse from 78 to 58. My chest and arms are still the same size but I can see the cut in my arms and chest. I still cannot do any pull ups but I went from doing 3 push-ups to 23. I could only do the first 3 minutes of the ab workout and now can do 8 minutes. What...
review »I was very skeptical about this workout system like many others. I did the rearch online and watched all the result videos I could get to from my laptop. This is a lifestyle commitment not just an exercise video. The video using the wording of "muscle confusion" to market itself and they're so right. The set comes with thirteen DVD's packed with common exercises such as pull ups and then leading to exercises I had never heard of like "corn cob pull ups". This works every part of your body using techniques that I never thought of and combines that with some common place exercises such...
review »P90X is a workout fit for those who are tired of those few extra pounds that have been hanging around. Not only is it a great workout, but the instructor's keep you motivated and challenged by offering easier or advanced techniques to get the most of your workout. Not only is the workout worthwhile, but the nutrition guide is helpful too. This is not just a workout program, but a lifestyle change. I was tired of dealing with the hassle of going to gyms to workout, but now I can do it in my own home, with minimal equipment and get that butt-kicking workout I've been looking for.
What is so great...
review »Tony Horton's P90X workout is the most intense and best exercise video I have ever used and I have used plenty of them. I also have the predecessor to this one, P90 and also the Power Half hour set. This one far and away surpasses them. If you want to get fit and fast just try it. It is definitely worth your time and money.
Tony is also one of the most encouraging and least annoying exercise instructors I have seen. Most exercise videos, I end up having to turn the sound off just to get through them without wanting to throw something at the TV. But Tony entertains you as you workout. Don't get...
review »I've been using P90X for about a year and a half and I love it! It's good because it isn't the same routine over and over that can cause most people to fall into a rut and give up. It may be expensive to start for some but it still will cost less than a full year membership to a gym. Considering you still have to drive to the gym and use gas, put mileage on your car, probably buy all of the gimmicky protein bars and sports drinks and still have to listen to the meathead in the corner who hogs the machines. I love this because you can do it at home or if you travel for work, can do it in a hotel...
