Bottom-Line: Small, lightweight, and easy to use the Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter is a must have for diabetics on the go.
I have Type II Diabetes. I have had the disease for the last eight years. It (my blood sugars) is under control, thanks to diet, lifestyle changes, exercise, and medication (Metformin Extended Release (ER) and Glyubride). But, I have to monitor my blood sugar levels constantly to ensure they don't get too high, or drop too low. For this take I rely on the Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter.
The 411
The Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter comes with a unique, easy-to-load 10-strip disc-that loads into the back of the unit and means I only have to reload the meter with test strips every 10 tests. Because the strips are projected from the Breeze 2 via a handle at the bottom of the unit, there is no need to handle individual strips and risk contamination. And Bayer's trademarked "No Coding" technology means I never have to calibrate my meter.
The Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter can display results in a little as five seconds when used in conjunction with Breeze 2 test strips, can save up to 420 test results, can provide a blood glucose reading with a smaller dose of blood than other meters, and; can download readings into Bayer's Diabetes Management Software via a USB cable (14.95).
My Viewpoint
I have been using the Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter for almost three years now and I like the results. The test strips are free from local Walgreens, are easy to install and use with the meter. The meter itself is simple to use, accurate and small enough carry along with you anywhere.
The Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter is powered by a single CR-2032 3V battery that last about 1.5 years. The meter is relatively inexpensive; it is selling on Amazon.com for $8.99, but there are coupons available to get it for free. I used one to obtain my second Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter, which I keep at work.
Small, lightweight, and easy to use the Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Meter is a must have for diabetics on the go.
