Bath and Body Works Sensual Amber (all products) —

It'd been years since I'd bought any lotion from Bath & Body Works when I walked in the store last summer. It's not that I no longer appreciated their products or enjoyed the fresh scents, but I lost touch with my feminine side when I started as a varsity swimmer in college. Whether or not I'd masked the smell of chlorine as I headed out the door for a date was the least of my concerns. Besides, my boyfriend was (is) a swimmer! We reeked together.

Well, I can't pass up a sale, so when I saw Bath & Body Works' huge "Buy 3 Get 2 Free" banner from the window I was not going to disregard it. I was amazed by all the new scents when I started browsing the test lotions, sprays and creams. Sensual Amber in particular appealed to me.

The name is what caught my eye. Sensual Amber brought to my mind words like 'passion,' 'desire' and 'longing.' The scent itself was (and is) delicious. It is musky and very potent. The scent reminds me of a crisp, fresh fall day, but it can definitely be worn all year round. It is hard to describe, which I think is part of the appeal. It's seductive and mysterious. I would not recommend Sensual Amber for a teen. It's not fruity or girly at all. Rather, it is sophisticated.

I save Sensual Amber body cream and spray primarily for date nights with my girl friends or boyfriend. Frankly, a combination of the shower gel, body cream and a spritz of the spray is perfect for any time I want to feel extra sexy. Occassionally I'll walk through two or three sprays of Sensual Amber before work. It can pass in any situation, so do not pass it up just because I hoard it for special occassions!

I give Sensual Amber five stars. It is by far my favorite Bath & Body Works scent. It is recognizable and delicious but not overwhelming. Plus, at $10.50 per lotion bottle, it is pretty inexpensive, and you can certainly stock up during a sale like I did!

When I was first introduced to B&BW I was stuck on sun-ripened raspberry. Then a girl in my church named Amber starting wearing Sensual Amber and I got hooked on that scent.

It's awesome, although for the change in season I've moved on to the coconut/lime smell. I can't think of the exact name right now, but it is my new favorite!

Don't you just love this stuff? I just did a bubble bath review and linked to my review on Sensual Amber and saw that 2 more people have since reviewed it. I hope B&BW doesn't do away w/this scent.
