My friend gave me a Wallflowers as a gift after I was in her wedding.  This is something I had wanted to try for years but never went ahead to try them.  Now that I have one, I have been using it and already went to buy a variety of scents to get me through the holidays :)

A "wallflower" sold at Bath and Body Works is basically a plug in air freshener.  They plug in to any regular plug and dispense a scent constantly until it runs out.  The scents come in liquid "bulbs", named as such because they look like light bulbs.  You twist these on to the product, plug it in and the scent you have chosen will last approximately 2 months, give or take.  I know 2 months is long for some, but for me I think it's short.  I have started to unplug this during the day when I'm not home or when no one is coming over and save it for company :)  Why waste it if no one is there!

I also found if you leave it plugged in constantly, you start to get used to the scent and not notice it as much.  So that is another good reason to only plug it in once a night or once a week even.  I have decided to start unplugging mine more often and I bet the refills will last 10x longer this way.  It is a very strong smell when it's "new".  I plugged it on the far side of my living room and when I woke up and opened my door the next morning, I smelled it all the way down the hall.  So it's strong as long as you don't get used to it.

You can tell how much of the liquid scent is left because the bulb is clear and you can see when it's getting low.  The .8 fl oz refills come in sets of two for $12.50 and come in pretty much every scent sold at the White Barn Candle Co (which is actually Bath and Body works but some malls have a separate store for it).  Most every scent has a matching wallflower refill and the few scents that did not have the wallflowers were probably just out of them from the way it looked.

Best of all, the product is Bath and Body Works!  It's not airwicks, it's not glade, instead it's from a store that specializes in a great scents!  Fruity, Holiday, Food, whatever you desire you are bound to find it.  They had a handful of "fresh" scents that smelled amazingly clean but I wanted holiday scents this time.  Look for them on sale because today I saved some money on the refills.  Enjoy!!

In response to PattyTherre's comment from Oct 22, 2009 at 11:46PM:

We have a lot of outlets so I tended to buy the plug ins (before I got this) but those never smelled as good as this does... of course, those were cheaper as well.

I have one of these but hate using outlets. I have so few as it is in this old house.
