I wasn't expecting Secret Wonderland to be such a yummy fragrance. After all, I bought the lotion and fragrance mist online without having tried it first. I thought it would be a standard winter scent--a little heavier, more sensual, and a little bit somber.

Scent
Imagine my surprise when I took my first sniff and discovered this magical combination of berries and florals, balanced by white amber and sandalwood. This is a happy fragrance--definitely not what I'm used to wearing in the dead of winter. The only issue I have with the scent is that it does not last long at all. Even when I layer it with the fragrance mist, I find that it just has no staying power. That's definitely a downer.

Absorption
Secret Wonderland lotion is so rich and nourishing that I no longer purchase the pricier body cream, even in the winter. The lotion absorbs quickly and gives me wonderfully soft skin that lasts all day.

Effectiveness
Like other offerings in the Bath & Body Works Signature Collection, this body lotion is infused with shea butter, jojoba oil, and vitamin E for incrediblly long-lasting moisturization and hydration. My skin always feels touchably soft.

***Quick View: ***I am a big fan of Bath & Body Works' bath and body products so, when I saw a new fragrance called Secret Wonderland, I picked up a two ounce introductory bottle of the lotion to try. I bought it online but judging from the notes, it sounded really nice. It IS nice but the scent is far subtler than any I have tried before from BBW. It seems to disappear almost as soon as I apply the lotion.

***My Take on Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland Signature Collection Body Lotion***

This lotion comes in a plastic bottle just like the larger sized bottles of lotion from Bath & Body Works. The lotion is white and the notes, according to the website are, *"Luscious Strawberry, Gardenia Petals, Jasmine, White Amber"*.

First, the lotion is pretty thin. It seems more watery than other lotions in the line up but it is still a decent one. It is good for normal skin or for a bit of hydration but would never be thick enough for my dry skin.

The scent is very subtle. I don't smell strawberries AT ALL though. Nothing even resembling strawberries. I smell a a fragrance that smells like lots of other fragrances at Bath & Body Works these days. They used to all be so different. Now they seem to be churning out these new scents that are just a tiny bit different from other new scents. This one smells a little like Twilight Woods, a little like Black Amethyst, and a lot like a generic scent. It's by no means a bad scent. It isn't overly floral nor is it musky. It's just not strong enough or, for me, different enough.

I applied the lotion on my body and liked the subtle scent but, within an hour or less, i smelled nothing at all. I literally sniffed my arm and smelled nothing. I applied the lotion on my hands and the scent was gone after 30 minutes max.

This lotion would be good for those who don't like strong scents and who don't need a lot of hydration. I keep the little bottle in my purse and use it as a hand lotion but it's really not hydrating enough for me. It isn't greasy though so I can apply it and not have to wait for it to absorb.

I probably won't be buying the larger sized** Secret Wonderland** products when they come out. The scent isn't different enough or strong enough. Even when they make a thicker cream, the scent would still be too generic and subtle for me.

***My Viewpoint***

**Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland Signature Collection Body Lotion** is pretty average as far as scent and hydration. It's light and non greasy but I need more for my drier skin. The scent is pretty but super subtle. And don't expect any strawberry scent. I have no idea where it is but it isn't in this lotion! Still, it may be a good lotion for those who like subtle fragrances***. 3 stars.***

Scent
The scent is good but very, very subtle. I can barely smell it and it fades away very quickly.

Absorption
This light lotion absorbs fast.

Effectiveness
Good for light hydration or layering but not heavy enough for dry skin.

Fruity & Subtle

By

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

I love to wear B&BW products because they are so fragrant. I purchased the small, 2 oz. size of this lotion to test it out, and really love the smell. But, like most of their lotions I don't think this one creates a lot of softness or moisture.
This lotion blends strawberries, gardenia petals, white amber and jasmine together, leaving a very subtle, fruity and fragrant smell on the skin.
Another complaint -the scent isn't that long lasting, and that is something rare for me to say about a BBW product.
The lotion absorbs easily into the skin and though it did not leave me feeling greasy, it did feel like something was on my skin.
Overall it is a great smell but it doesn't add up to some of the other amazing lotions they have put out in the past.

Scent
Fruity smell yet very subtle

Absorption
Dries quickly into the skin

Effectiveness
If you're looking for great smell you can use this with great results. But it is not to soften the skin, at least not my dry skin!

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

I love, love, love Bath & Body Works Signature Collection in Secret Wonderland Body Lotion. I am a little sad that I cannot find this in store, and it seems like if I want this I HAVE to order it online. Even though it is a little bit of a hassle it is SUPER worth it. This particular lotion has a unique blend of luscious strawberry, wild goji berries (Also known as wolfberries), ripe raspberry, gardenia petals, jasmine, peach nectar, coconut musk, creamy vanilla, sandalwood, and white amber. The playful mix of the berries mixed with the deep sexy undertones of the coconut musk and the white amber give this lotion a feminine yet matured (In a good way, not an old lady way) sort of smell. The scent is absolutely wonderful and sexy. It goes on smelling pretty strong, but not overbearing. Throughout the day it calms, but the scent is still present and going strong. I love applying this in the morning and knowing that I will smell good all day long. The lotion is quick to absorb, and it moisturizing insanely well!

Secret Wonderland is my favorite.

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

Secret Wonderland Body Lotion is from the Bath and Body Works Signature Collection. It's actually discontinued now but I hope Bath and Body Works brings it back which they have a habit of doing. It's hard for me to describe the smell. To me it smells like candy and cleanliness. The body lotion will keep your skin soft and smelling nice for a while but for the maximum performance (and more for the price) you should use the triple moisture body cream. I love everything about this lotion from the smell to it's packaging. I really never smelled anything like Secret Wonderland. It's a very soothing smell. If you can find it now you're quite lucky. The people at Bath and Body Works told me it was discontinued months ago. Your best bet is ebay. You can go to amazon.com too but they'll overcharge you for it. My opinion is that this was the best of the signature collection when it comes to smell, absorption, and moisturizing the skin,

Nice scent but very quick to fade

By

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

Initially I purchased this lotion because I liked the scent; vaguely sweet with a hint of a musky tone to it that gave it a nice depth without being too heavy because I didn't want to drown myself in too much and too strong a scent.
Unfortunately that light scent just didn't stick around; I applied a light layer of it and less than an hour later could no longer detect it at all; it did give my skin a soft feel and I could tell it had moisturized it some, but not really ay more than any other basic body lotion I've used in the past.
The next time I tried a thicker application to see if I had simply used too little to make the scent last but had the same problem; stronger at first and then entirely gone before very long at all; for the price it just wasn't worth it to keep applying it every few hours to get that scent back and end up soaking my skin with far too much lotion.
There was also a slightly greasy factor to it, more so than I expected; it remained after the lotion had dried and left my skin feeling oily for a few hours before that faded.

I was surprised I liked this scent!

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

Weekly visits to Bath & Body Works is the highlight of my life. And when I discovered they had a new scent out called Secret Wonderland, I decided to give it a whiff. I was so amazed at the scent! It reminded me of a Victoria Secret scent, but it wasn't sticky sweet! I absolutely loved it! and the graphic that went along with the name, it looked magical. I love the color purple and this lotion just screamed, " Purple! Magical! Wonderland!" It was absolutely fantastic. I bought a lotion, a body spray, and a lipgloss. I rarely bought lipglosses but I had to in this scent.

Scent
This scent reminds me so much of winter, it's insane. I love everything about it. That reminds me, I have to buy another lotion because I am running out.

Absorption
As with any Bath & Body Works lotion, the formula is great and absorbs very well.

Effectiveness
I love how smooth and soft my skin feels after putting this lotion on and I love the scent it leaves on my skin. It's absolutely divine.

One of my favorite scents

By

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

I picked up a little travel size bottle of this meaning to use it as a stocking stuffer last Christmas but ended up being selfish and keeping it for myself after using it. After I'd used it up I went to buy a full size bottle and the Bath and Body Works at my local mall had sold out much to my disappointment but not to my surprise.

Scent
The smell is almost intoxicating, lightly floral with fruity undertones. Secret Wonderland is the perfect name for it because I'd imagine a secret wonderland smells exactly like this lotion. My boyfriend even likes it and he's not easy to please when it comes to scented lotions. I apply it several times a day to keep the scent fresh just because I love it so much.

Absorption
Absorbs pretty quickly except for on the palms of my hands for some reason.

Effectiveness
Very moisturizing. I apply it more often than I really need to but it does a great job at keeping my skin moist without leaving it greasy and gross.

Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland Body lotion is great!

By

from Rice Lake, WI

Comments about Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Secret Wonderland Body Lotion:

Bath and Body Works Secret Wonderland Body Lotion is really great! It is a awesome lotion that Bath and Body Works came out with around Christmas time and it is a very special smelling Christmas scent. I wore it several times over our Christmas break and got some nice comments about it. Bath and Body Works has been giving out quite a few products for free lately from their facebook page which is a great bonus that I have thoroughly enjoyed! It makes for a lot of nice freebies or super cheap products which is great in this economy! The biggest issue I have with this lotion and all other products by bath and body works is the extraordinary amount of ingredients that are possibly deemed as unsafe. I have noticed that in the lotion they put like red number 40, and yellow number 5 which is quite unfortunate. I wouldn't eat these in my food, and I would prefer that they wouldn't be absorbed in my body.
