Intriguing scent

4

Not only is this a good lotion for my dry skin, it also is simply great for me to do something fun and pleasant for myself. Scent Intriguing is the best way to describe this. Its name implies that the vanilla is the main note, but I don't perceive that right away. What I smell right away is fruity and softly spicy, such as a cinnamon apple, but then what lingers after that is a very soft subtle vanilla. Absorption When I apply it to my chest and shoulders, it soaks in, cool and hydrating, and does not leave me greasy or sticky. It absorbs deep into my skin and not just on the surface, firming up and hydrating dry needy skin. Effectiveness The mosituring and soothing effect on my skin lasts all day on areas that don't have to be washed. For my hands which do need frequent washing, it helps them not get dried out. . It especially makes my hands feel soft and soothed when I have to wash them all day at work. My job is in nursing, and this is the flu season right now, so my hands get washed over a hun dred times a shift. This lotions keeps my hands from being chapped.

Vanilla Noir is a very grown up take on vanilla !

I don't really deviate much with my staple vanilla products. I absolutely love the smell of vanilla, and a good product with it is pretty hard to find.. So I was pleasantly surprised when found that I loved the smell of Bath and Body Works Vanilla Noir. It is a very mature, very sensual take on vanilla. It is a part of the "Sexy" collection so that tells you something. The key notes of the fragrance are: Madagascar Vanilla, Dark Vanilla Bean, Black Plum, Bergamot Orange and Warm Musk. The combination is perfect to me (I happen to love when musk is mixed with vanilla). I have another favorite which is the Avon Naturals Vanilla spray and body lotion, and I switch up with this one. I use Bath and Body Work's version mainly when I am going out at night or in the cooler months. I use this lotion by itself sometimes when I am sitting around at home, but I also like to lightly layer it with the body spray. I recommend this for anyone who loves vanilla and would like a mature version as well.

Light and Sensual.

Bath and Body works has done it again. They are masters at making fragrances for every taste: light and fruity, rich and sexy, bright and cheerful, holiday scents and this light, sensual fragrance.   I am partial to vanilla scents to begin with but the Vanilla Noir fragrance has a hint of something else. To me it almost smells woodsy. Not woodsy like outdoorsy and sweaty, but woodsy like pine branches or something. It is the perfect blend of light and heavy if that makes sense.   I love the way Bath and Body works lotions feel. They aren't cheap and runny like a lot of lotions and when you put them on they make your skin soft all day. The scent also lingers all day, not like cheaper lotions. The price at Bath and Body can't be beat. Sure you could get cheap lotion at a drug store but it will be runny and smell like medicine. Stick with Bath and Body Works and definately try the Vanilla Noir. It's an A.

Hmmmm, not a "true vanilla" smell, not a B&BW fave of mine.

I love Bath & Body Works products as a whole and rarely am I not happy about a scent. This lotion works just as well as the others do of course, however I am not thrilled with the scent. It is not a strong vanilla smell, in fact I don't think that the vanilla itself is something that stands out (it has a stronger exotic type scent I feel). Don't get me wrong... it doesn't smell bad by any means, it just does not smell to be "strongly vanilla" (like the Bath & Body Works "Warm Sugar Vanilla" or "Vanilla Bean Noel" does. I received this as a gift (the lotion, perfume, and body spray) and while I do go ahead and use it, I would not be tempted to buy it when my supply is depleted. I really love the strong vanilla overtones that the other two scents I mentioned have, those two scents (along with Sweet Pea and Cucumber Melon) are hard to beat! My husband knows how much I love "vanilla" (that is vanilla scented Bath & Body Works products) and that is why he purchased it. Again, it by no means smells bad nor will I not use it, I simply would not purchase it after this supply is empty. I have received compliments twice from others while wearing it so the scent is appealing to others!
