I never even thought about sugar scrubs before going to work at Bath & Body Works nearly two years ago. As is true in so many cases, however, the customers sold me on the aromatherapy sugar scrubs. Or perhaps I should say the sugar scrubs sold me on the sugar scrubs; the customers simply talked me into trying them.
They're a little different in that their high oil content means you need to stir the scrub before you use it. This same high oil content means your skin is left not only exfoliated but feeling astoundingly soft and silky. This is by far the best sugar scrub I've ever used, no matter what scent you choose and no matter what your skin type. In case it helps, I'll mention in particular that I've had multiple African American customers tell me this is one of their most important weapons against ashy skin.
And the scent is fabulous. Being an aromatherapy product, it genuinely affects your mental, emotional, and physical state. I like layering aromatherapy products in the same way you layer other products. For instance, if you have trouble falling asleep or sleeping through the night, a special evening ritual could include this sugar scrub followed by a lavendar vanilla bubble bath. Then moisturize with the body lotion and spray your sheets and pillow cases with the pillow mist. You'll almost surely sleep like the proverbial baby!
BBW's aromatherapy line offers several options. If you need help sleeping, there are also lavendar chamomile (my personal favorite) and black camomile. You may also be interested in their scent selections for energy and sensuality.
