Sandra Boynton is a winner in my house. Talk about a very funny and cute book. As a mother of five children, this book has been around for all five of them. The story isn't very long so you could take a moment to read while your child is on your lap or getting relaxed for naptime or bedtime.
The rhymes are cute and get you ready to want to dance. Stomping your feet and clapping your hands, come on now, lets get ready for that good old barnyard dance. A wide variety of animals are involved like chickens, ducks, a cow, horse, pig, sheep, bunny and of course the barnyard mice and the barnyard dog. There is rhythm that makes you almost want to sing the song, with a baa and a moo and a cockledoodle doo, lets gets promenading two by two.
For toddlers or preschoolers, there is lots of rhyme and could also show courteousness to one another, getting along and just plain having fun.
All my children loved and still love this book. Make this a book that is in your book case today.
