Works well, but android OIS is probably better

Nooks work very well as an ereader and basic tablet functionality that are within the properitary operating system developed by Barnes and Noble. Being a Nook owner and visiting the Barnes and Noble Bookstore is a very nice and enjoyed, friendly experience. Battery Life The battery actually runs for a decent amount of time. Processing Speed Can handle basic level and Nook supported Apps, but do provide the Nook adequate time too process your command. Weight For the viewing screen available, weight is adequate. App Availability Only Barnes and Noble supported Apps, cannot use Google Play. There are several Apps available, but you can definitely tell a difference in investment of quality and quantity to other platforms. A Nook2android software version can be downloaded to a memory card and installed, must be micro. Design The Nook looks nice, appeasing design, well made, and has as sleek interface. Durability My Nook has been dropped several times. Its is definitely durable.

Good Tablet but I need MORE

4

This tablet is not one of the higher end tablets. It is really recommended for a person that just enjoy reading or maybe just searching the internet. This was actually a gift that I ended up returning because there were not many options associated with this tablet. I kept this product for 15 days and ended up returning it and getting a Kindle Fire HDX. Battery Life The battery life is not very useful for those on the go constantly. One would need to bring a charger with them everyday if going to be using for more than 2 hours. Browsing the web is often cut short if downloading or streaming. Processing Speed The processing speed is pretty good for this tablet. It actually may be the best feature on this tablet. Depending on your internet service, it is possible to get pretty high processing speeds. The processor seems like it runs well, and very efficient. Weight Very good weight and able to be handled by my 8 year old daughter. Average weight of most tablet its size. Not very bulky and fit in my standard case. App Availability Biggest concern for the NOOK tablet is the unavailability of apps. There is not a whole lot of variety when it comes to the apps offered for the NOOK. This was the real deal breaker for me. The apps offered are a bit pricey and not worth the money. Design The design is sleek and different from most tablets. It is not solid there is a bit of flair put into the design. I liked the silver strip at the bottom it gave it personality. Durability The NOOK is not as durable as I would want. The casing seems easily to scratch or dent. Not built with the most durable of materials.

Good E-Reader but Not Impressing

4

This was my first tablet ever so I was so excited to get it for the cheap price nooks run for compare to other tablets on the market. However, they run cheap because they lack the things that make tablets now adays so fun and efficient. Battery Life With the lack of fun games and ability to put music on it (you can, but it's a lengthy process) , the only thing to really do is read. Reading books and the brightness levels don't kill the battery life so it's a great replacement for traveling and wanting to read with out having to haul 20 books with you. Processing Speed The processor is slow, but bearable. Weight For the size, it's a tab heavier than what I would like. It makes my hands tired to old it for long periods of time while reading. App Availability There are a few classic games and a handful of creative ones, but mostly only books. I don't really feel this is a tablet, it more like a spruced up e-reader. Design The design is unique and so is the interface. Durability It is heavier than the average tablet so it will hold up against falling and I have dropped it, and it survived.

Processing Speed The speed on this is great. Although i think it could processes things a little faster. Great Little Tablet

I really enjoy the Nook HD tablet but wish that it had more books available at a cheaper price. The picture quality is impressive compared to my Kindle HD and love the fact that it has a micro sd slot for memory expansion something that the Kindle lacks. The 7 inch size is just perfect for putting in my purse to take on the go. Love the android play store as I have an android phone and can have all the apps I am use to on this device. I have to say I enjoy the Nook better than my Kindle Fire. I also enjoy being able to set up individual users so that everyone has there own login and content for them to enjoy. The only disappointing feature in it is that with the kids parental controls there is no way to set a time limit on the activities that they can do like you can on the Kindle. Watching movies is fun on this tablet and picture looks good but sound was disappointing when listening without headphones. In a noisy room the sound can be drowned out even at full volume but with headphones it sounds decent. Overall this is a great tablet for the price range.

Great tablet for a low price.

I bought this tablet a few months ago for school. This is a great tablet. It is much cheaper than the kindle and it does all of the exact same stuff. I will never understand why some people are willing to pay more to buy from amazon when the nook can do all of the same stuff as the kindle. It has internet, ebooks, magazine, apps, everything. It is lightweight and has a nice battery life. You can pretty much use it like a netbook in class. The only drawback to this thing is that you can't sideload apps onto it. If it had that feature it would be perfect. But it doesn't so you are stuck with what you find in the google play store, which is not half bad at all. My advice would be to get the nook HD over the kindle HD. I don't like to waste my money buying overpriced things. I think the only reason it hasn't sold more is due to bad marketing, which is really sad. If you want a cheap tablet that is the best buy for the money, go for the nook. You will be pleasantly surprised by this thing.

Great tablet but not many apps.

4

Overall its a great tablet to have if you are mostly reading. It does not have many apps like the Kindle does, but the graphic quality is great and reading is easy on the Nook. I've had one for a year now and I use it for reading, internet and games for the kids to play on. Weight A bit heavy. App Availability Not many apps available on the Nook as it is on the Kindle. Design Simple design. Durability Has held up great though I have a case for mine.

Convenient

4

This was actually the first the "tablet" I ever owned. I loved the convenience of having an electronic book within my fingertips. I loved the fact that there were so many options other than just reading books. I loved the fact that my children took great interest in reading because they had an electronic book. Books are becoming obsolete anymore and I do not want my children to lose interest in reading. This a great way of keeping them engaged! Processing Speed a little on the slower end

Good Product with some major flaws

3

This tablet is good for kids. It works for an ereader but is extremely slow to use as a tablet. It doesn't have a lot of power. It is fairly lightweight and has a fairly stylish design. I most likely would not reccommend this product to a friend or family member.
