The Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic Mini Blanket is made of a poly-microfiber knit and is the softest thing ever. This Mini blanket is 15" x 17", the perfect size for a baby and lasts right on through the years. There is a satin square in the middle of the blanket that is soft and has that crinkly sound when scrunched up. The edges of ours, had loops of the poly-microfiber knit, just perfect for small fingers to grab through. This blanket can be washed and washed, and it doesn't shrink and stays just as soft. As it's washed more the crinkly sound under the satin does go away. It comes in different colors each with a different image on the satin square: pink with a tutu, cream with a carriage, lilac with a butterfly, white with a castle, seaglass with a tricycle, and blue with an airplane.
My mother got this for my daughter when she was born. Then we got another so we could wash one and not be without. Amazingly enough she could tell the difference and then wanted both, "old little pink one" and "new little pink one." There is a soft tag on one edge, and she eventually rubbed on it so much, we just sewed it back on. She's almost 6 now, and still lays it out on her pillow and uses it as her doll's blanket. This is by far the best baby present we received.
I always get this as a baby shower gift for every shower in which I get enough notice. Unfortunately, I can only find the mini blanket online and have to allow time for shipping. Nordstrom carries the Barefoot Dreams line in the kid's department, but I haven't ever found the mini blanket, and the larger ones are just too big for little kids, in my opinion. They end up dragging on the floor. They do cost $25, which I think is a lot for a blanket. But for as much use and wear and tear we've gotten out of these blankets, I feel like it's a great bargain.
