I have been using Bare Escentuals Tinted Mineral Veil since it first hit QVC. I used the non tinted since it also first came out. These products are the best whether you are a teenager or an elderly woman. The coverage it gives it perfect. Not too heavy, not too light. You can put this on, over and over, all day long, and it still looks perfect. If you have flawless skin, I would imagine it is even better. But I do not! I have found over the years, that it is fine coverage for most wrinkles. Forehead wrinkles are greatly diminished with this product. Marionette lines are also downplayed with the use of this Mineral Veil. But I have found that as my eyes age, it is not too great for that area. I just use it every where else and avoid my crows feet and under eye area and I get a great look. This is also great for lessening pore size for those of us who seem to have crater size pores. This is great for reducing shine if you have oily skin also. And when you buy a container of this, it lasts forever. This is not something you will have to replace every few months. A little goes a long, long way.

Bare Escentual BareMinerals is the best make-up I have used! It goes on smoothly to create a shine-free finish.  The best part is that is does not create 'crease' marks like a traditional foundation.  I am can confidently put it on in the morning and know that it will last all day long... even through my work-outs!  After working out, I can simply blot with oil asorbing sheets and still look great.  I also highly recommend it for people who occassionally sleep with make-up on.  Unlike other make ups, it does not clog pores and lasts a very long time.  The new container design prevents spilling when traveling.  It is a bit expensive, but I am still on my first container and its only 1/2 empty.  I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy, carefree make-up product that lasts.  It is also helpful to buy the primer.  Putting the primer on then the foundation and then the mineral vale makes a picture perfect face everytime!

About a year and a half ago I started using the Bare Minerals makeup, and I have never looked back.  Out of all the Bare Minerals products, the mineral veil is my favorite.  I have very oily skin, and the mineral veil is the perect thing to go over my foundation to stop the shine and even out my skin tone and complection.  Not only does it leave my skin looking clean and dry, but it is very light weight, so I never feel like I have a ton of makeup caked on.  Most of the time I will wear the complete Bare Minerals set including foundation, but the mineral veil is great that if I'm running out and just want to do a quick face I can brush on the mineral veil and feel great.  The Bare Minerals products do cost more than I had typically spent on makeup, but I have found that they work so well that they are really worth the cost.  Plus, you need to use so little to get good effects that they last a very long time.

I realize I am in the minority, but I hate Bare Escentials products!  They make my skin itch if it's hot and I sweat in the slightest bit.  My skin looks worse with Bare Escentials than with any other makeup... it makes my pores look huge, my fine lines and wrinkles more pronounced and gives my skin an odd "off" color.  I've tried several other mineral makeup brands and found a few that don't contain bismuth and these are the brands I can wear without any itching problem all year long, no matter what the tempature is.  I did some research and found that many people have this same problem with this ingredient.  So if you find that some mineral makeup lines make you itch, try finding a brand without bismuth and see if you do better.  My other problem with BE products is the cost.  I just don't think they are worth the expense.  I've paid more money for products and if I love them, fine, I can justify spending the money.  But BE just isn't one of those brands for me.

The Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil is perfection in a container.  I started using it about 8 months ago after a friend it to me.  She used the foundation first, which really smoothed out her skin and made it radiant.  Then she put on the mineral veil as the finishing powder. Wow!  I can't really describe how beautiful and radiant she looked, and best of all, she didn't look like she was really wearing makeup.   Of course I had to try it and I have been hooked ever since.  I also like the fact that is is just minerals - no yucky chemicals.  Both the foundation and mineral veil are soft, smooth, and silky, and leave my face looking and feeling great.   As a mom with two small kids, I am always pressed for time. I need a product that is going to make me look good and take very little time.  And with Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil (and the associated foundation), I have found that product.  Their slogan of "swirl, tap, brush" really is true.  I put a bit on the brush, tap the excess off, and brush it all over my face.  Instantly, my skin looks smoother and more glowing.  This product is simply amazing!

Initially I tried the non-tinted mineral veil and hated it..but when I learned that there was the tinted veil, i fell in love! It disappears on brown skin tones and softens the appearance of your foundation. When properly applied you look completely make up free AND have sun protection without messy creams! The downside to using this mineral veil as a finishing powder is that it tends to be messy. BareEscentuals has not lended the patented "lock-n-twist" lid technology used in the foundation containers to the mineral veils *yet* (I'm hoping it is coming soon!). So that being said, it can be messy at times if you are not careful when opening and closing the container.   Also, beware of using too much! Even with the tinted veil if too much is used, you will get an "ashy" appearance. The product is needed to "finish off" your BareMinerals nicely, but it can take a few minutes before it "sets" on your face properly. I suggest planning ahead when applying, but if you can't, a nice finishing spray will give the same effect as some of your skin's natural oils polishing off your make up. Enjoy!
