I bought the Bare Escentuals starter kit at Ulta as soon as they were available. I wear a ton of makeup, and can easily spend 40 minutes applying all the makeup I use (I know, I know). I was excited at the prospect of streamlining my regimen. When I tried the product, I noticed that it made me itch uncontrollably. I later found out that was an allergic reaction to the bismuth oxide in the product. Go figure. Who knew that the girl who's been slathering her face with any lotion, potion, or cream since the early 90's was allergic to anything? I also found that the 'swirl, tap, and buff' and 'building your coverage level' selling points weren't working either. Swirling, tapping and buffing, turned out to be very messy. By the time I'd 'built up' enough coverage to conceal my flaws, I looked like I'd gotten into a fight with a powder puff-and lost. I returned my kit to Ulta.
