The starter kit is a must have! The average price is about $60 (best place to get this is at Sephora or their website!) which does seem like a lot. But in the kit you're getting two shades (one lighter and one darker) of your complexion shade, a bronzer, and a mineral veil, along with two brushes and a primer. The primer is an antioxident that helps level the skin and it's good if you have dry skin, if you have oily skin it does NOT increase that problem! Once you watch the included instructional video, you're good to go! It's true that less is more! The average life span of the minerals is about two months, but I'm on my third month! This product helps to cover scars blackheads, whiteheads, and other skin imperfections. If you're wearing a low cut shirt and you suffer from chest and/or back imperfections, then it's also ok to use there! It creates a natural glow, and blends in extremely well with your skin color! Unlike liquid cover up or other, it matches your neck color and chest color as well, so no longer does it look like you're wearing a mask! Once you're done with the started kit, keep the brushes (which you should make sure you pick up brush cleaner as these eventually will build up oil and dirt which will worsen skin) you should pick up new minerals. This CAN get pricey (average is $24 each) but it lasts about 6 months, plus the starter kit bronzer lasts much much longer because you don't use very much at all in daily use.
Overall, yes it is a bit pricey, but at the end of the day, you'll have amazing skin and you'll feel very confident (I personally have never gotten so many compliments about my skin, it seems like most can't even tell I'm wearing makeup!)
