I was about to be a bridesmaid in a good friend's wedding, so obviously, I wanted great skin for the camera! The last time I wore foundation was for MY OWN wedding, six years earlier. Needless to say, I was clueless. I literally rushed out to the department store and bought the first thing that looked reliable (won't name it, but it's one of the top name brands). I paid over $120 for light tinted moisturizer (not even technically foundation), a single brush, and a loose transluscent powder.
The next week, I was shopping with my friend the bride, and with another bridesmaid (who was very make-up savvy). We were in Sephora, and we were browsing. I had always been curious about mineral make-up, so when I saw the ID Bare Minerals make-up, I decided to give it a try. Not only was it amazing, but it was HALF the price I paid for the department store make-up! And I got two foundation colors, a bronzer, a transluscent powder, and TWO brushes (plus a skin prep cream that I don't really use).
That night, I wore my new purchase to the rehearsal dinner. I only wore the ID Bare Minerals and a tiny bit of mascara, NOTHING ELSE. Everyone commented on how good I looked, how polished, what nice skin I had...I'm not kidding! And it was so easy--no need for a messy make-up sponge, and no harsh lines. I just buffed a little powder on, then added a little more, a little bronzer, and a little powder to get rid of shine, and I was done. Three minutes, MAX.
I highly recommend this product, especially to woman who don't usually wear make-up and who just want something to look a bit more pulled-together on an everyday basis. FIVE STARS!
