This is my second purchase of Rare Minerals Night Treatment. The first time I purchased, I got the clear, which still had some color and provided some coverage. I did not see the results I thought I was looking for with that 1st purchase.

However, after reading review after review after review, all glowing - I decided to give it another try. I had a 20% off coupon from Ulta and was able to use that coupon to purchase the full size RMNT in the Light color - I planned to use it as foundation. I figured if it was so great, I could use it at night and during the day.

So I purchased. The first night, I used the puff that comes on top of the jar. You're supposed to click the jar to 'open' turn it upside down and tap it on your hand until the powder comes through the puff, then lightly rub it on your face. Another 'must' is that you should do this immediately before going to sleep, because that's when the ingredients do their work, while your skin is repairing itself.

I expect miracles for my skin. I want my skin to look airbrushed every day of my life. I'm probably never going to get that, with any product, ever. But, this RMNT does significantly decrease the redness that I used to see in the morning. My pores appear smaller and my skin looks good!! I can now say I am ok with leaving the house without makeup, although I just don't feel comfortable doing that. If I happen to forget to put on some makeup (which happens quite often with a 3 year old running around), I don't panic.

I have used this in the morning as foundation, and someone made a comment that I had orange powder on my face, so perhaps I won't use it as foundation anymore and just stick with nighttime application.

Overall, I would say the RMNT does what it says it will do. It's a natural product, made from pure ingredients and who doesn't want to harness the power of the earth?! If it's good enough for nature it should be good enough for us. The price is expensive - $60 - but the jar lasts several months so if you break it down, it's less per month that what you're probably already using with less than dramatic results.
