I've been using Bare Escentuals products for years, so it should come as no surprise that their Mineral Veil is a staple for me. It's the ultra-light powdered minerals that you put on over the foundation - some people think of it as "powder" and in a sense that's not inaccurate, but it's definitely not your grandmother's powder.
Brush Mineral Veil on over Bare Minerals Foundation and you have a fabulous, shine-free finish that lasts a very long time. I used to carry a Bare Escentuals compact around in my purse for quick touch-ups, but I found that I almost never had to make any, so the compact now resides in one of my drawers.
It's good as more than just a finish, though. Years ago, someone told me that if you have oily skin (I do) or live in a humid climate (I do) you might want to try applying mineral veil BEFORE applying bare minerals foundation. I don't do it most of the time, because I forget, but on those really humid days when I think to use this little trick it makes a huge difference. This is remarkable when you realize I live in the Gulf Coast region, where make-up meltdown can be quite literal.
