Bare Minerals Foundation received a lot of hype especially from being in tv shopping channels. I tried it because it was natural and I put in a lot of "face" time with my children so I don't want any harsh chemicals rubbing from my face to theirs. You have to definitely try it to get hooked. Go for mall makeovers. Or if you can find their $18 trial pack, buy them to see if it is something that you can work with. The trial kit is definitely worth it (you get a brush, Warmth for color, and 2 shades of foundation to mix and match and Mineral Veil). It comes with written instructions that are easy to follow. Bare Minerals Foundation is more or less foolproof that it is very difficult to make a mistake with putting it on. You can work your way from sheer coverage to moderate by just putting on more of the powder. The end look is a healthy glowing skin that you can wear on its own or with other make-up. TI also used this when I was slightly breaking out and the make-up did NOT cause my skin to flare up or break out more.
he only downside is that because it is a powder foundation, there is a tendency to look cake-y especially if you have dry skin. Mostly I noticed that my skin eventually allows the make-up to blend in but that also means that I have to apply it minutes before showing up somewhere. Spritzing your face with water or with toner helps too. If you're already wearing work or party clothes, you also have to be careful about getting the powder all over them. But all in all, this is a good product that delivers.
