Bare escentials mascara is a good natural mascara option for the health concious. However I have ran accross cheeper and better natural options. It works good but almost to good. What I mean is that it cakes on somewhat and is hard to control the amount that you desire to have on. I do like it though just for special occasions when I need alot of mascara. It is good to have for certain times and I would definately use and recommend it over other commercial mascaras.

I LOVE Bare Escentuals makeup and have been an avid user for six plus years.  My skin has never looked and felt better and it has ever looked in my entire life!  While certainly more expensive than drugstore and chain store cosmetics it is worth every penny!  I got Bare Escentuals mascara as a sample with a purchase from their website and I love it.  It doesn't flake or fall off during the day and gives great definition to my lashes.  I love the brush and how easy it is to apply this to my light lashes.  This makeup does not have the "heavy" feeling that liquid makeup can have and doesn't make you feel like a circus clown when you wear the makeup.  I have even slept in the makep on several occasions and have never had a skin breakout occur as a result of it.  I have fair skin with golden undertones and have found that it works beautifully on my skin.  Overall a great product that I woudl recommend to everyone!!!

I really like this mascara!  I have tried many kinds of drugstore brands and really didn't want to splurge on mascara, but I got it as a free sample (love those, by the way!) and LOVED it!  I have dark circles and my usual mascaras wore off and smeared sometimes, making my dark circles even darker!  This mascara does not come off until I take it off at night, and comes off perfectly.  I have never gotten my mascara off as easy as I do with this!  If you are on the edge about buying this, GO for it! :)   I also have contacts, this is non-irritating and doesn't flake off into my eyes or gets in my contacts!

I like the concept of the masacara especially the one with the wand and no brushes. It takes a while to master but once you get it - it works great and gives huge lash difference. However, it seems to dry out faster than regualr mascara with the wand. It is not as strong as other voluminizing mascaras. I use it when I want a more subtle look.

I love makeup. Honest. I want to love BE products, I love the thought of the mineral ingredients. Some of their products that I tried are good but I have not bonded properly with any of them, yet. I remain hopeful. The BE Mascara Black will **not** be the product that converts me to a deep love of BE products. The wand was confusing, no bristles, but I did figure it out. But it was not worth the effort. I tend to stay away from black mascara because my eye lashes are brown. But if the mascara is really good I will wear black. This mascara is not good. Once I got it on my eyes (it is a little tricky and takes a steady hand), it started flaking immediately. It went into my eyes, I cried a black river and had to wash my face. For the rest of that day no eye makeup for me. It was a bad first impression. I really wanted to like this, the wand was cool. But the mascara did not have any staying power, and I ended up with raccoon eyes, stubby lashes and red eyes.

The first time I tried this mascara I did not understand how to use it. I have always used a mascara with bristles on the applicator. This mascara has no bristles so it's a shock the first time using it. But I practiced a few more times and practice makes perfect. I blot the applicator on a tissue to remove any excess product and then I blink into the applicator very slowly. I take my time so I don't get the mascara all over my face -which is easy to do if you aren't familiar with this application. Once I've applied the mascara, my lashes are long and luscious! I do not have long lashes without help -and this is the help I've been looking for! I recommend being patient when you first try it because it's a learning process to blink into the applicator versus placing the applicator on your lashes but you will love the results! Give it a try -it's a great product and extremely revolutionary!

I was really expecting more out of this product given the price. I love DIORSHOW mascara but wanted to find something a bit cheaper. Looks like I'll be sticking to the Dior, because I haven't found anything that compares. This one was pretty pitiful.
