I was skeptical of the claims that have been made about the bareVitamins Prime Time foundation primer until I tried it. It was love at first feel.

The product glides onto the face providing a silky canvas for your palette of face color. It is though someone put satin sheets on your skin.

I have sensitive skin but found this to be just as stated: oil-free and fragrance-free. It has been allergy tested and dermatologically tested so I can feel good about the use of it. The SPF 15 protects against the sun and just makes sense. Because the product doesn't state that it is non-comedogenic I only use this when going out someplace special. I haven't been brave enough to gamble with a breakout yet. Besides the tiny bottle retails for $21!

The primer combats dryness, makes fine lines and enlarged pores seemingly disappear. It also helps even out skin tone and eliminate those annoying dry patches that make-up tends to flake on because it provides something for the make-up to cling to besides the skin.

Made with added Vitamins C and E it helps combat aging; now that is a product I can stand behind!

Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Silica, Magnesium Silicate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract

Thanks for the info. I have been buying a lot of paraben free cosmetics and beauty products lately. It seems the trend is to go that way these days. I sure don't want anything else to worry about so I'll continue to buy paraben free products.

The difference in Prime Time and Smashbox is that Prime Time does not use any of the "parabens" (artificial preservatives), which studies are finding may be bad for you. Since it is prudent to use products that do not contain parabens, I prefer to use Prime Time.

Thanks for the info. I like Smashbox's primer but I think I like The Present by Philosophy better. I just know I like to wear primer whenever I need my makeup to last. It really works.

pssst: There isn't much of a difference between Smashbox and this one. :-p

The first two ingredients are the same. Compare the Smashbox Photo Finish primer to the above ingrdients-
Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Isopropylparaben, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Carthamus Tinctorium (Safflower) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Cola Acuminata Seed Extract, Propylene Glycol, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben, Water.

Sometimes I wish I was a chemist!

I almost bought this but I have Smashbox and Philosophy and Sephora and a few other primers. Oh and Wei East's. But I will try this one sooner or later.
