During a shopping splurge I bought the Get Started Bare Minerals Kit for $60.00. You can find it at http://www.bareminerals.com/.
I will be combining products when that makes sense in my reviews. My first review is of the Bare Minerals Foundation. I got two colors, both of which have an SPF of 15. The colors are medium and medium beige. The two allows me to mix them together or to use the lighter shade or darker shade depending on how much coverage I want. I have a fair complexion and both work well for me.
"Made with pure, crushed minerals from the earth, bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation looks like a powder, feels like a cream and buffs on like silk, giving skin a natural luminosity. Free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts, its ideal for all skin types and conditions, from sensitive skins to acne and rosacea." from the website.
This is all true. I have rosacea (not a bad case). Bare Minerals Foundation is gentle, creamy in spite of it being a powder, and goes on beautifully. I apply it with one of three brushes which I will review all together.
The large 3-ounce container will run you about $25.00. A little goes a long way. One negative to Bare Minerals Foundation for me (and from what I read from others) is the packaging. The powder comes out of small holes. In the case of applying Bare Minerals Foundation it is suggested that I shake some out into the cap. I follow the directions but truly some is lost in the process.
I am a new fan of Bare Essentials. I have tried one or two of their products in the past but never the foundation. I am convinced my skin looks clearer and I don't even need a cover stick to cover imperfections!
