Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Complextion Makeup Review

My husband insisted I buy this product after seeing the Bare Essentuals/Bare Minerals product informercial on TV.  So, he told me to order it for myself for my birthday, which I did.  I was sorely disappointed that I had to 'join the club' to even order.  I have since found other ways to order only the certain products I need.  The kit is overpriced for what I received, and I cannot use half of the products in the kit itself.  The medium is too dark for me, even though I am a medium skin tone. 

That being said, it is actually a good product.  It feels very light on my face, and it really feels as though I am not wearing make up, which is what I prefer.  You have to really work with the brushes to get the 'flawless' look, and it takes longer to apply than any other makeup I have ever used.  They say that it is so pure that you can even sleep in it, but I suggest NOT sleeping in it, unless you don't mind waking up to a brown tint on your pillowcase, because it DOES come off of my face and get on anything I happen to brush my face against.  There are many alternatives to this brand, so I suggest shopping around before committing to the club, or buying at a local retailer or alternative online retailer. This is just so you can buy ONLY what you need, without the 'extras' you are actually paying for in the kit.  Overall, I believe this product is overpriced, but I will recommend it for anyone who prefers the 'wearing just enough make-up to acheive the no make-up' look.
