I use Bare Minerals everyday. It's easy to apply and I get a flawless finish. Looks natural and gives good coverage without feeling too heavy. Plus, it doesn't cause my sensitive skin to break out. I cannot say enough good things about this kit! Love it!!

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Complexion Makeup **is way better than any other make-up. Especially the powder foundation. Some people say it does not cover well, but I think it does have enough coverage and make our complexion more natural. Not cakey at all. When I would like to have more coverage, such as when I go to parties, I apply primer, concealer and Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals powder foundation. This looks perfect on my skin and totally give me a party make-up. Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals eye shadow **stays long enough for the party and very smoth to apply. I use a big Kabuki Brush for foundation powder and small foundation brush for powder eye shadow. The trick is to tap the brush until not much powder comes down. That would be the best amount of powder and gives us great natural look. For the part I want to cover, such as age spots, I simply apply the powder foundation with small foundation brush and dub it on that spot. And it's gone!

My husband insisted I buy this product after seeing the Bare Essentuals/Bare Minerals product informercial on TV.  So, he told me to order it for myself for my birthday, which I did.  I was sorely disappointed that I had to 'join the club' to even order.  I have since found other ways to order only the certain products I need.  The kit is overpriced for what I received, and I cannot use half of the products in the kit itself.  The medium is too dark for me, even though I am a medium skin tone.  That being said, it is actually a good product.  It feels very light on my face, and it really feels as though I am not wearing make up, which is what I prefer.  You have to really work with the brushes to get the 'flawless' look, and it takes longer to apply than any other makeup I have ever used.  They say that it is so pure that you can even sleep in it, but I suggest NOT sleeping in it, unless you don't mind waking up to a brown tint on your pillowcase, because it DOES come off of my face and get on anything I happen to brush my face against.  There are many alternatives to this brand, so I suggest shopping around before committing to the club, or buying at a local retailer or alternative online retailer. This is just so you can buy ONLY what you need, without the 'extras' you are actually paying for in the kit.  Overall, I believe this product is overpriced, but I will recommend it for anyone who prefers the 'wearing just enough make-up to acheive the no make-up' look.

I have been a bare minerals user for about 5 years and I have recently found their golden hues,which have made all the difference in balancing out the natural tone of my skin. This golden color is what my makeup kit needed to look so au' natural! Love this..I still use the basic medium foundation, but found that applying the golden hue over the foundation gives me more coverage. Thanks!

I saw these products a few years ago on TV. I thought it looked great and really liked the idea of such a light, quick coverage. I went to my local store and purchased a starter kit. It was somewhat challenging at first learning how to use the products only because it was different from what I had used for years. I got the hang of it pretty quickly and enjoyed using it. I'm 40-something and have a ruddy complexion. Unfortunately I discovered that the coverage provided by Bare Escentuals wasn't enough to diminish the natural redness of my skin. I also noticed that since all of the products are powders they tended to settle into the fine lines around my eyes and made the wrinkles more noticeable. I was disappointed and kept using it for awhile thinking that maybe my application was at fault, but no matter how much I practiced I got the same results. Not enough coverage and too much powder in the craters, (I mean fine lines). I tried the products again about 3 years later after receiving an offer for a free trial. I thought I might have better luck a second time, but unfortunately I didn't. I think this make-up works beautifully on younger skin, but probably not the best choice for more mature complexions and their special needs.

I don't wear a lot of makeup. Most days none at all...just chapstick :) For a long time I haven't even owned any makeup. I had a special occasion where I wanted to wear makeup and decided to try Bare Minerals. I had seen the infomercials countless times and they made it look easy and natural. I didn't find the price to be too outrageous considering that most higher end department stores can cost much more. You also do get a fair amount of product for the price. It comes with brushes also, which is a bonus. I have seen the info on tv and also watched the video that came with the makeup and they make it look easy. I also liked the flawless but natural look of the makeup on the models. It is easy to put on and I was able to find/create the perfect shade for my skintone. It only takes a few minutes to use, which is how it is advertised. I do not, however, like the look of the makeup on my face. I expected it to look natural, sheer, flawless, etc as shown on tv, but it did not. I used very minimal coverage & to me it still looked "powdery". The reason that I don't wear makeup normally is because I (and my boyfriend) prefer a fresh face. I don't like the made up look. The only reason I chose to wear make up is because photos were going to be taken at the event. I did wear the Bare Minerals makeup at that event, but have really not used it since then because it just doesn't look natural to me. I didn't just use it the one time and give up either. I have experimented several times because I do want it to work. I want to have the flawless face like they show on tv. I tried experimenting with different shades and different levels of application, but nothing seems to give me the results that I expected. Maybe I'm just not experienced enough in makeup application, but I wouldn't recommend this product if you expect to get the results that you see on the infomercials.

I have sensitive skin, and occasional acne. This powder does not irritate my skin, and it is hypoallergenic. It covers my blemishes well (I use mineral concealer underneath), and doesn't give me the cakey look that some powders do. It helps my makeup look professionally done. This brand is also animal-friendly, as it is not tested on animals, a trait I look for in my beauty products. I wish the powder came in more shades. While the color looks natural, as an ethnic minority, the more choices I have in makeup shades, the happier I am as a customer. Also, this is not a powder that you can swipe on your face and have it be done in 10 seconds. Though I have encountered such powders in the past, and they do a good job, with Bare Escentuals you have to invest time in your makeup process, but it pays off. It looks outstanding. Unfortunately, the price is far too much. While the value of the product is high, I don't think it warrants such an exorbitant price tag. If you have the money, go ahead and buy this product. But I am a college student, and I can think of much more important things I have to spend my money on.

So, I have been using the entire Bare Minerals makeup collection for more than three years. I absolutely love it and use nothing else. I do not like the look that most liquid foundations support. I first came across this line of cosmetics when my skin started to break out because I was using MAC. I still love MAC but I love my skin more and now try to shine away from it. My sister who went to school for cosmetology showed me Bare Minerals and I could not believe how good it felt on my skin. After I begin using the foundation and veil, I moved on to concealer and eyeshadow. The eyeshadow is one of my favorites out there. It even surpassed MAC eyeshadow! Overall, I would have to say I'm extremely pleased with these products and will be a lifelong customer. That is until my skin really needs makeup that will hide agely imperfections. But hey, if the creators of Bare Minerals find a way to do that, they have my money and my support!

A friend of mine who I always assumed had naturally perfect skin was using this makeup.  I stayed at her house and ended up using it on myself and it was absolutely amazing.  My skin felt soft and the coverage was buildable and looked like skin.  Even when i had bad breakouts that I would pick and pop and they would be bleeding i could put the minerals on it like this amazing bandaid.  It's great for warm weather when your face gets oily.  For winter I apply a lot of lotion first because my skin gets dry.  Another great thing is that after a long night out, you can just go to bed in it literally.  It wont clog your skin and you don't have to worry about waking up with a huge zit!  This stuff is amazing and I have recommended it to many people.  I can't believe how awful my skin use to get when I used MAC, Clinique and I would break out all the time and was looking for acne solutions when the whole time it was my makeup!

I do not wear face makeup on a regular basis, only a little bit for eyes and lips. The reputation of Bare Escentuals for natural and skin-friendly makeup caught my attention so I decided to give it a try. I have very light skin and had a difficult time deciding between the fair and the light. The models for the fair were much lighter than me so I went with light. Unfortunately I can only wear one of the two colors in my kit because light was too dark. But that's more so my fault than the company's. I did not have a problem with the application process but it looks cakey and obvious on my face even when I aim for very light coverage. I can't wear the bronzer because it is too dark for my face, even if I use a very tiny amount. It makes my face look dirty or like a bad self tanner. On a positive note, it did not make my skin breakout so it is very gentle on skin. But I prefer the way I look and feel without it so I will continue to be makeup free.
