it is a great starter and introducer to everyone. unlike other producs that provide a starter kit, they actually provide a bottle of brush shampoo so you can save money on that. shows that they really care for their products, i definitely recommend and have switched over ever since my starter kit!

I was an avid user of Bare Escentuals for a few years and even got my mother, sister and aunt to use it. When I turned 30 and was pregnant with our first daughter, I developed a sensitivity to it due to developing rosacea. Unfortunately this was the product that triggered the initial reaction, and it was the ingredient bismuth oxychloride that did it. Granted this is a "natural" ingredient, but it is a common skin irritant. When I used it, I loved it. The coverage was fantastic and it felt light on my skin. I have since tried other makeups with similar results, and have found a vegan makeup that does not burn my face. As of now tho, I can not put anything on my face that my dermatologist DIDN'T recommend - and that is NO MAKEUP. :(

BareMinerals products are very good. I was lucky to try out this kit some time ago and was really impressed. The products are made with natural minerals which won't hurt your skin and even somewhat imrove it. This particular kit is good because you get good quality brushes (which are otherwise pretty expenssive). You also get to try different products : foundation, concealer, bronzer, finishing powder and even primer in some kits. I find that this type of foundation is not my favorite so I don't use this kit anymore but still, if you're into powder foundations then this is one of the best. Also I'm not the kind of makeup user who like to pile so many things on my face. Concealer + foundation + warmth + mineral veil... that was a littke too much for me. I prefer a tinted moisturizer and a bit of bronzer. Once again... just a presonal preference. If you love BareMinerals products then definitely buy one of those kits. It's 100% worth the price !!

Bare Escentuals starters complexion kit contains two foundation in slightly different color shades, one mineral veil, one dark face color, three brushes and step by step guide DVD. It basically tell you to prepare your face and apply light layers of the foundation by creating circles with your brush. The face color is used around the blush areas and then the mineral veil can be used all over for finished look. It is to be work lightly so you are suppose to tap off any excess on the brush before applying to your face. Due to these steps the finished face feels light unlike any liquids or cake foundations. Even though the foundation doesn't seem to match your skin color from the looks of it, when applied actually fits your skin tone well. I think its because its so light that it actually allows your natural shade to come out as well. Only caution will be for those who has scars. Unlike thicker foundations that can be used as concealers, this doesn't do the job. This is more of a natural light wear so the scars won't actually be covered up.

I remember when I first recieved the Bare Escentuals Starter kit. I was so excited to finally try it, and I was very pleased. Overall I was extremley satisfied with this kit and the brand. Bare Escentuals is very dedicated to customer service and seeing the whole experience through. The kit is everything someone may need to feel completely stunning and confident all day every day. The brushes are professional grade, and they last for a long time. Personally, I have my first brushes from about five years ago. The brushes are still in perfect shape and work like the day I unwrapped them on Christmas morning. The foundation is my favorite kind bar none. It makes my skin feel like I am wearing nothing at all. Over the months after my purchase, I began to see the difference in my skin. My overall complexion was improving thanks to Bare Escentuals. My stubborn oily and blemish ridden face was starting to become a simple and pleasing but balanced face. My opinion on make-up changed drastically. i love this make up.  it looks so natural and covers up most blemishes.  there are two complaints i have, however.  one is that this make up tends to really dry my face out.  i have never experienced this before from a product.  i rarely break out and have had good skin most of my life.  i only notice this in the winter, so i just blame it on the combination.  i double up on moisturizer and it seems to do the trick.  my other complaint is that sometimes when i want a little heavier make up, this does not do the trick.  if i am wanting to go out at night or i do have a blemish, sometimes this will not fully cover it. but, for a daytime, natural look, there is no better make up!

I been using this product for 7 years and never once had a problem with it, once i was introduced to it i could not leave my house without it, this is the original real deal mineral make up all the others out there does not do what it promises, this product adds a healthy glow to your skin takes away your flaws, your left with a smooth, healthy natural looking face that feels great, not heavy feeling, also the brushes are great and boy does the mineral veil work excellent i use it on top of other make up to just for a set of any foundation, it really takes away the oils in your skin. the video is not so boring, you cant go wrong its really easy quick to use. You can do your make up in less then 5 minutes and leave the house looking gorgeous!
