Barclays Bank of Delaware - Free Spirit Platinum Mastercard — 

I recently apply LLBean's VISA (BARCLAYS BANK's VISA) card because my old LLBean's VISA card was converted to Bank America VISA. I received a letter from BARCLAYS BANK asking my US passport copy to approve I'm a US citizen. I apply so many credit cards and this is first time I have been asking for US passport. I do not understand why? It is because I have a Japanese last name.
All the banks are using SS# to verify account IDs but BARCLAYS BANK. BARCLAYS BANK is totally RACAILLY DISCRIMINATING. We should not do business with them.

I also applied and received the new LL Bean Barclays Visa. Horrible customer service from this bank! I was one day late paying (in full) my bill of $29. I was charged a $1 late fee plus a $25 "service fee" (nearly the same amount as the total bill).. Since I have an almost perfect credit rating and have never been late, I requested, not that they cancel all charges, but to charge a more reasonable amount. I was amazed at their answer: "There is nothing we can do."

also received a letter asking me for my status. I'm a US citizen & I do have one of the best credit scores in the country since 1988. This is absurd. If LL Bean has not switched to this discriminating Bank of Delaware I would have never applied for their credit card.
