The "Barcelo" was comfotable. The next time at check in I would ask if the room had a double, queen or two beds in the room. There were only two of us and had a room with two beds. We had a plugged sink the first day, and had very prompt maintenance that solved the problem. The bathroom was very dark.... read full review »

Good hotel, poor visitor policy

The hotel is nice however at the very end of the strip. The view from the room is spectacular. However, if you would like a friend to visit you, they are required to pay a $100 fee to get a wrist band to partake in the all-inclusive services even for a visit. when we arrived and have the first look , we thogh its going to be fun , we were right. even do the change to a different room in the middle of our vacation was not fun , but we enjoy our staid in the hotel. the food was good , but it should have more to choose from . at the end we had a vacacion of a life time

Shopping: Short Drive, rent a car and drive to the town's market, go to cancun , visit playa de la gata, go snorkling

COMPARED WITH THE OTHER HOTELS IN THE SAME BEACH, I THINK THAT THIS ONE IS THE BEST YOU CAN GET. PERFECT FOR FAMILIES WITH KIDS. VERY WELL LOCATED

Shopping: Short Walk, RESTAURANTS AT THE MARINA ARE EXPENSIVE. BE CAREFUL SPECIALLY WITH BECCOFINO IT IS THE MOST CROWDED SO YOU WILL THINK THAT THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT, THINK AGAIN. DON?T ASK FOR PASTA WITH FOUR CHEESE. EMILIO?S IT IS THE BEST PLACE, TOO HOT BUT EXCELLENT.

The hotel room room was comfortable. The dinning areas were nice. The food was less than average. The pool area always had a place to sun. The hotel was located near shopping areas and restaurants. My overall experience was good. I would return to the hotel, if returned to Ixtapa.

Shopping: Short Walk, We vacation during the first week in April. There was a terrible problem with Gnats. Bring bug spray.
