I hate this piece of furniture!

I don't typically feel this strongly nor this negatively about a product, but I do about this one. I spent a lot of money to have this high quality leather loveseat/recliner custom built for our home. Over time, it has proven itself to be junk, conveniently raising its ugly junk-head promptly following the expiration of the warranty. The right side section broke off. I gave the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and figured my kids caused it. They can be rowdy. I called the business that sold it to me. Because the warranty was expired, they could not help me. They recommended I get it fixed by a local furniture repair person who's supposed to be the very best and can fix everything furniture, good as new.  Because it's a loveseat, the repairman took only the broken half, so we still had use of the left chair, which then had to do double duty, including from the rowdy kids. It survived unscathed. The right side was returned and we-all resumed using it. In no time at all it broke again. The same furniture guy retrieved it for fixing, saying he would not charge us if he determined that his workmanship had been at fault. No such luck there; we did it, he said, so we paid again. Shortly thereafter, the thing broke again. I was not about to donate more money to repairman "charity." The broken chair remained broken. It eventually deteriorated to the point where it would no longer recline. Naturally, the broken side rarely gets used. Instead, the intact side takes all the abuse of the entire family, and it just keeps going. Because it gets loads more traffic than the broken side, without breaking, including everything the rowdy kids have to dish out, I've concluded that we were not the major cause of the break to the other side in the first place, but that it was a classic case of substandard workmanship, as in someone did a poor job of assembling it, or some defective materials got put in. Can't say that I was impressed with the local fix-it guy either. I'll NEVER buy another Barcalounger anything, or patronize said repair person ever again. For that matter, the furniture store it came from won't see my business in the future either.
